WATER'S EDGE is the story of a married couple who has lost their daughter and seeks to reconnect in a cabin far from civilization. However, following a fight, the man goes into the forest and finds a policeman ready to smash in the head of a beautiful woman.
Not at all your straightforward and classic crime-thriller, which is what kept me watching. In the hands of more capable filmmakers, this could have been a solid Michael Douglas movie, instead we get some strange and uneven performances that might deter some people from finishing the movie.
Give it chance, though, you might just be surprised by how the story unfolds. And you know what, Nathan Fillion and Chandra West are pretty solid in the lead roles. Definitely not your typical Nathan Fillion movie.
