How to remove 3rd row cushion to install custom seat covers | Nissan Pathfinder Forum
Hi, I just purchased custom seat covers from Pro Seat Covers for my 2013 Pathfinder SV. I was able to install the middle row covers without much problem but wondering how to install the cover over the cushion on the 3rd row seats. There are straps that buckle underneath the cushion and the only way I can think to access underside of the cushion is to remove the 3rd row cushion. Can anyone help walk me through the steps to remove the 3rd row cushion?
I have taken the whole seat out, but I think that's the only real way to get under the cushion.
The front is easy--pop off the two covers and remove the two bolts.
The rear is more complicated--you have to remove the tailgate finisher trim (4 pop-off anchors), open the storage bin and remove 3 screws in the bottom and 4 hinge screws, lift out the storage bin, and then you can access under/behind the 3rd row seat.
There is about a 6" high open space under the seat, so you may be able to buckle the straps without removing the seat completely. If not, there are 4 bolts anchoring the jack to the seat/frame, and then when you get it out you'll see 4 bolts holding the rear of the seat down.
Followed your instructions and installed the seat cover with relative ease. Had to get creative with some wire hangers and an extra set of hands to avoid removing the 3rd row completely but overall wasn't as big of a deal than I had imagined.
Sooo, I'm going to bump this thread with a 2nd row seat question. I'd like input on how to remove the 2nd row seat(s). My daughter is going to move in the near future and I'd like the extra space. Any help would be wonderbar! Thanx.
