Sophomore: Ramapo College of New Jersey is smaller than your typical college campus. There are usually no big parties and student life is pretty quiet unless you are involved in the various clubs that are hosted here. Parking also gets packed in the commuter lots, however the farthest parking lot to the main building is only a 10 minute walk. Something to add here that I tell a lot of new students is that public safety tends to be strict with their parking permits and policies, so make sure you have a guest pass or a permit! Although it is a small campus, you are provided with beautiful scenery and incredibly convenient placement. If you take a 7 minute drive down the highway, there are supermarkets, restaurants, and clothing stores for your college needs. Sophomore: Ocean County College is a small community college located right by the Jersey Shore. Although it is smaller it offers so much and has made me a better student. The professors are amazing and want to help their students suceed. The campus is nice and the classrooms are as well everything is easy to navigate and it is convient because its close. It is located in a town that offers a lot of stores and food and is 15 minutes away from Seaside Heights. It even offers study abroad and I am a hospitality student who is travelling to Switzerland with the school this summer, the oppurtunities are endless there no matter the major. I have never had a bad expierence with a professor, but I hear my peers say otherwise sometimes, so the only change I can think of is maybe evaluating some of the professors and their teaching methods, otherwise amazing 2 year school.... Other: I transferred into Middlesex after being denied a major change at a 4-year school and I find Middlesex to be an excellent place to find your footing. It's clear that the campus community is one that is constructive and welcoming. Social life can be somewhat lacking but there are plenty of clubs that cater to various niches. On-Campus dining is pricey and best avoided, especially with far superior options a stone's throw away. Academic departments are very prompt and other offices intended to assist students are quite efficient. Tutoring is awesome and the tutors are amazing at explaining concepts in a way that sticks.
