For her 1st movie Ana De Armas ain't to bad an actress, but it helps that she stands out in a movie that's basically an extended episode of a spanish soap opera where everyone is either fucking each other or slapping each other, you only see her boobs for about 10 seconds so I was left pretty unsatisfied, also the subtitles just fucked off for the last 10 minuites so I pretty much made up my own plot and wow what a way better film it became.
12th movie of the 2022 oscar proje(c)t!
One of the sorpresas anunciadas of the nominations was the mention of Ana de Armas in leading actress for Blonde. And honestly, I’m not mad, I really admired the movie and her performance. It was tough and a lot to digest but we were talking about it all for so long afterwards. At the very least it has some strong staying power. Now, did the academy nominate her for her raw performance or because they couldn’t resist having both americana icons, Elvis and Marilyn in contention, who’s to say? (And both played by non-americans!)
Ana de Armas has been such a great presence in everything from Knives Out to the horrible Bond thing…
Great movie, some of the characters were kinda relatable at times (NOT Simon btw). I got to see Ana de Armas boobs multiple times so I'm satisfied with this movie and it's kind of poetic too the way it ended the same way it started....but seriously, I gotta learn Spanish. The English subs decided to disappear for the last 10 mins and though I had heard the characters speak Spanish for the previous hour and 20mins, I still couldn't understand anything they were saying without subtitles.
Anyway, I'm not gonna lie, for her first movie Ana was already a really damn good actress in my opinion.
I hadn't watched a feature-length film today, so I decided to watch this, Ana De Armas' first movie. Admittedly, this was a thirst-watch. Movie itself was unremarkable novela fare. Spent about 40 minutes making RiffTrax-style comments with a friend, which was the highlight of the night
Hermosos Visuales ❤︎ El Brothel Parece Un Sueño De Venus y amo amooo a mi hermosa Ana De Armas xoxoxooxox
