We had a wonderful time in this wonderful property!
We stayed for 3 night and 4 days.
The first day we checked in with Anna at the Reception. She was super nice and super friendly...the check in was fast and she tried her best to give us an early check in as we were there a little before the right hour.
We decided to take a walk in the beautiful Florence and we talked with Neri in the concierge desk. He was super helpful and assisted us keeping our luggage until we would come back to the hotel to do the check in. We asked him for recommendations where to go and where to eat and always with a smile he helped us in every question we had.
Days passed quickly and it was always a pleasure after a loooong day of walking to come and to see the room spotless and that Housekeeping had already made the beds and putted new shampoos, coffees and other amenities. Just perfect.
The bed was very VERY comfortable and the room spacious as well.
On the check out we had the pleasure to be assisted by Jacobo. Very professional and very nice as well.
Paolo in the Concierge was a wonderful person and always with the best italian hospitality.
We definitely will choose this hotel every time we will be in the magnificent Florence!!

This was one of the nicest hotels in our 4 country 13 day visit to Europe. It is perfectly located close, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Our amex fine hotels included breakfast and a $100 credit so we were able to enjoy some bistro food and drinks, which were very good. The towels are fluffy and heated and the hotel is immaculately maintained. All of the staff is very kind and helpful. This is just a gorgeous oasis that you must try. My only complaint was that our beautiful canopy king bed (room 536) was very hard, but with all of the beauty and services, it was a minor problem! We also had a huge balcony overlooking the beautiful city.
If you stay here, you must avoid the street directly straight down on the left and listen to the staff and go to the roads on the right toward the water. We made the mistake of not following their directions and went down a pretty shady street, the only one in Florence! We walked all over Florence, the hotel is very convenient to all of the sites, they have a shuttle service and our tour guide, fun in Tuscany, picked us up around the corner at curra tone 9, whihc was coincidental but convenient. Would highly recommend fun in Tuscany if you want to got for a wine tour!

Stayed at this hotel before the lockdown. The hotel is a bit difficult to find because it is surrounded by narrow streets with similar looking buildings all around and the area is practically deserted at night.
The room I stayed in is average size and probably not one of the renovated ones but the bathroom is large with a bathtub and a small shower stall. The bed, pillows, linens, towels are all top quality.
The hotel has limited amenities including a courtyard with a small pool and an elegant restaurant but the restaurant was uninviting due to super high prices and absence of patrons there. The Wi-Fi was weak and not quite usable but what inconvenienced me the most was the use of metal room keys which they did not allowed you to take it with you and it must be handed in to the front desk when you leave the room for the day and request it back when you return.
The front desk people are friendly but certain ones are not so accommodating when they specify obscure rules and regulations to selected guests.
The high price charged doesn’t match my expectations or experience so I won’t be staying at this hotel again.

Great hotel, amazing service, the staff couldn't do enough to make the stay as comfortable as possible.
Always trying to please, and go the extra mile.
Hotel is very stylish, with a relaxing pool area, and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was delicous and food very good quality.
Rooms were very quiet and any request for restaurant reservations or information how to get about florence was quickly followed up on.

Hotel in 15 min walking distance to the historic Florence center. Rooms are clean and on the top floor they come with a large balcony, overlooking the city.Staff very friendly, especially Marco was very helpful and professional. Good breakfast, good WiFi and a pool complete the excellent location. When you arrive by car you drive to the entrance, unload your luggage (they bring it to the room) and they take you car to some parking and bring it back when you want to leave, price € 32, but worth every penny! Many great restaurants near the hotel! All in all a great place for a few days in Florence.

From the moment you enter you can notice that this is not an autograph collection!
No Bellboy at the door, only a security man Looking at me and my preagnant Wife Taking the bags from the taxi and bringing them to the reception ( the gentleman was probably not hired to carry luggage but … Its a preagnant lady!)
I thought It was something that happened at that moment but… for the all stay, i have never seen a bellboy at the door!
The checkin was ok but i was not told Anything about what distinguished this autograph, i later saw It on the counter their “Mark”. Until today i Dont undestand Why the receptionist took a copy of our id and credit card without Asking for permission!
Arriving to the room…. The smell of pipes was quite unpleasent during the all stay. Air filtres in the bathroom Where filthy. The wallpaper was in very bad condition!
The bed looked made by a kid! No care of at least steatching the sheets.
Dont go to the Gym!!! The machines are ok but the sauna and Turkish Bath smell bad. Fallen tiles and stains on the wall are absolutely discusting! There is no maintnence or care!
The Breakfast was “funny” in the first 2 days. We where seated and we ordered some coffee and tea (that came at the end of the metal!) employees Where doing Everything but serving tables.
The “best part” was the tea pot that came broken to the table,with a Piece of porcelain “flavoring” the water!
The employees barely spoke English and the one that saw the pot, laughed and said Sorry!
Regarding the bar, it is located on the meadle of 2 restaurants but there seems to be only one kitchen!!! You will see a circus of employees running through the bar, transporting dishes to serve guests.
Wi-Fi has very slow speed in the room. Very poor quality!
To end:
The rooms need investment
Housekeeping needs to be organized and trained
Reception must be trained (needs “fresh blood”)
Belboys should always be present hosting and assisting guests
Maintenance department should be created or controlled
The restaurants and bar… no words…
Hotel has stopped in time!
This hotel definitely needs someone ahead taking real care of the operations, training staff and urgently improving guest experience.
The only Good part was the concierge Paolo. He was polite and knew is guests!
I do not recomend this property until major renovations and staff training happens. Until then, stay at the westin! Its a pitty. The hotel has Huge potential!!!

We arrived at lunchtime for an overnight stay and we were part of an organised tour with group of about 30 people. When we arrived we were told our rooms would be ready at 3pm. Unfortunately, there seemed to be little organisation at reception and with no one really taking charge, especially as they were dealing with a mass check in.
However, we gave our luggage in for them to store and were told these would be put into our rooms when they were ready. We waited in the garden area of Harry’s Bar, which was very quaint, pretty and very relaxing. We did pay 60 euros for two beers and two Pimms which we thought overpriced. We are always happy to pay a premium price for drinks if we think the service, surroundings and general quality match, but unfortunately they did not in this case.
We checked with reception at check in time, to see if our room was ready and was told by Fabio that he had ‘no idea whether it was ready or not’ because he was not anything to do with housekeeping?! He said he would check with them and let us know. We explained that we had a timed entrance ticket to the Uffizi Gallery so prompt check in would be helpful. At this time many people were also enquiring about their own rooms but only a few people were able to access at this time. We enquired again and Fabio said we could have another as ours still not ready, there seemed to be much confusion everywhere but we were given the one key and promptly dropped in our hand luggage and left for the Gallery. On our return about 3 hours later, we entered the room to find we were a suitcase short, promptly reported this to reception. They said they must have put it in a different room by mistake and would have a look for us. A lady from the same organised group told us the day after, that they were in their room about that time and a member of staff just came in the room without knocking and asked if they had a suitcase that wasn’t theirs?! She was half undressed and not very impressed?! After about 20 minutes the suitcase was located and bought to our room.
In summary we found the hotel to be quaint, fairly clean and the rooms the same and fairly spacious. The outside area was pretty with lots of flowers and a modest swimming pool.
Unfortunately the biggest downfall was our immediate experience with the reception on arrival, the staff were unhelpful, unorganised and we found Fabio to be very rude with absolutely no customer skills. Our room was not ready on time and no one seemed to know what was going on. The management need to sort this out as customer service is key, especially with reception staff and we will certainly not be returning.

We just completed a 4 night stay and loved our experience at this hotel. We felt the location was good and allowed us walking access to everything we wanted to do. A few reviews have noted the people in the park near the entrance and while we did notice them, we never felt unsafe.
The concierge was fantastic and helped us when our airline lost our luggage. We arrived at the hotel on our wedding anniversary after a frustrating experience at the airport, and the staff had champagne sent to our room to surprise us.
We had pre-dinner drinks in the bar a couple of times. Our only complaint would be the room temperature. It got very hot and stuffy, both night and day. Fortunately it was cool and breezy outside so we were able to open our glass sliding door to cool things off, but that was more difficult at night. It would not stop us from staying there again, just something to note.
The concierge was fantastic and helped us when our airline lost our luggage. We arrived at the hotel on our wedding anniversary after a frustrating experience at the airport, and the staff had champagne sent to our room to surprise us.

I stayed here in October 2019
and again in October 2021. The area around the hotel has become quite sketchy and less safe during those two years. There is no longer a match between prices charged and value, due to the proximity to a loud/less safe neighborhood which is adjacent to the hotel.
The closeness to the train station is great for guests arriving via that mode of transportation and the inside of the hotel is very nice. However, the above points will dissuade me from staying here again.

The hotel is in a very good location for walking and the staffers are very well trained with professional skills for everything. The breakfast and room, lobby are extremely well. The only thing they could improve is the wifi speed. The speed was about 3–10 mbps and it’s hard to check the email sometimes. The hotel said they can do nothing to increase the wifi speed but the speed was much faster in other hotels in Italy. Please do something to increase the wifi speed for your future guests. Overall it’s very lovely hotel and highly recommended.

I was sent a request by Trip Advisor to answer this question. We waited to rent a car until we were leaving Florence. The entrance to the hotel is gated. There were cars parked in that area. Cars can drive up to the entrance to the hotel and unload. I think you would find the hotel a lovely place to stay while making day trips. The pool is especially beautiful at night.
No idea on the pool. Easy walk from train. Longer walk to main sights.
