We offer urgent passport service to customers who are traveling internationally within 14 calendar days. To apply at this agency, you must make an appointment and meet the following requirements: 1) If you have not yet applied, make an appointment online at passportappointment.travel.state.gov. You must be traveling internationally within 14 calendar days. 2) If you have already applied, call 1-877-487-2778. You must be traveling internationally within 5 calendar days. 3) Be able to show printed proof of international travel. 4) Pay the $60 expedite fee in addition to the regular application fees.

I have an appt at 7:30am on the 15th for a same day passport. I am driving to Toronto for a job interview scheduled at 5:00pm. Is there a chance I will receive my passport by 1:30 to make it, or will I need to wait until at least 3:00 to pick it up?

Have you ever been to a government agency and had an awesome experience? Ya, I haven't either. BPA literally saved my international travel plans. I realized my passport was expired 4 days before I was scheduled to travel. I found out Buffalo was the closest location with appointments in time to
Get me what I needed. I hopped a flight and crossed my fingers. Everyone, starting with the security were amazing. It's was as if they genuinely wanted to help me! When they said to come back at 4 pm for my new passport, I said my flight back home was at 2:40 and guess what?!?! They had my passport done at 1pm. Don't cancel you international travel plans because you think you can't get a passport soon enough. This place will hook you up!!!!!

Pre Covid this spot was open to the public. Now you must have an appointment to be let into the building. On Genesee, it's an accessible place.

Akhil O.Laurel, MD112Nov 4, 2022Flew 300 miles from Baltimore to get a last minute passport for an overseas trip the following day. Friendly and efficient is the best way I can describe the experience at the Buffalo Passport Agency. From the security guards to the agency staff, everyone immediately put me at ease and they were processing my application, less than 10 minutes after I passed the security screen. I had the passport in hand at 1:55pm some 5 hours later. I didn't want to wander too far since I didn't rent a car, so I checked out a local cafe (on the same block) and walked to the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library (which is really nice too).
Things to remember:
1) Have an appointment ... if you don't have one ... you will not be seen.
2) If you need a same day passport, do your best to schedule an early appointment
3) Have your documents in order (application complete, current pics, travel proof, etc)

I applied for my newborn's passport expedited service.It's been a month and I haven't received the passport yet,I have an emergency back home I have to travel as soon as possible before Eid ul adha.My husband is ill I don't know what do I have tried to call them but no one is picking up.

We had to drive 5 hrs to Buffalo to get our daughters passport and we were so impressed with how fast and efficient they did everything. For a state run facility - they were friendly, fast and organized. I hope I never have to do this again - but if I do - I would drive 5 hrs again. We went to see Niagara Falls, the aquarium and lunch while we waited for our passport to be printed. The number you have to call to get the emergency appt is awful. But it was all worth it cause they were so great.
