    network analysis

  • Calculation of the electric currents flowing in the various meshes of a network, often carried out by a device used to model the network
  • The mathematical analysis of complex working procedures in terms of a network of related activities
  • A network, in the context of electronics, is a collection of interconnected components. Network analysis is the process of finding the voltages across, and the currents through, every component in the network. There are a number of different techniques for achieving this.
  • The pattern of transportation systems, the location of routes or rails, the location of intersections, nodes and terminals can be considered as a network. However, on the analytic side, more attention is paid to the whole system rather than to single routes or terminals.
  • Usually used to analyse flows along a network. For example, to find the shortest path between two locations on a road network perhaps taking into account the different speeds and different fuel costs on different types of roads.
