Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The wines were good here. There was a large area for families to enjoy. The staff could have been friendlier, but they were OK.

Solo
Locally made wine. Sunday afternoons locals will get a bottle and bring some snacks and sit outside in a shaded area with a Bocce pit chillin. Inside they will have a sporting event playing on a large TV. Race, game, whatever.
Super friendly staff.

Traveling I40 from Winston-Salem and saw the sign for Waldensian. What a fantastic find!!! The lady pouring was wonderful and talked to us as if she had known us for years. She even gave us a booklet of North Carolina wineries. Told of us of many along our I40 route back to Tennessee. All the wines were tasty with a different yet similar taste. Villar Rouge being our favorite. I even bought a few bottles for gifts. One of the best things about this stop was how proud the lady was about the wines and others she worked with. I would recommend a stop here for sure.

I headed out on a rainy day with a friend and we stopped by here. We were the only two in the place. Wine tasting was free, which was nice. Kinda felt like we were interrupting something and that we had come at the wrong time. I did like the wines, but maybe we just hit a bad day. Willing to give it another chance at another time.

We pulled over off of I-40 on our way back home and found this delightful family owned winery. The tasting was complimentary and you got to choose your varietals as you pleased. The host was a charm and entertained us for the entire tasting. They have more than one building so there was a baby shower happening while we were there. The gift shop has cool souvenirs and the wine was enjoyable and very economical if you want to take home a few bottles like we did. I think we'll be back!

Stop by for a friendly visit and a glass of wine and a game of Bocci. Many wines for sale, both alcohol and non alcohol. For more information call 828-879-3202

Place looked interesting from the outside but inside was very dated, run down. Smelled musty like an old basement. Wines were your typical way to sweet southern variety even those they called "Dry Reds" were sickeningly sweet. Don't waste your time unless you REALLY like sweet wine.
