I was just looking at other soundtracks that had recently come out and was amazed by the quality in composition and musical interpretation of this beautiful soundtrack. Marco Beltrami... well, I'd heard about his name but I'd never purchased anything from this talented composer. I am now aware that the best gems are, most of the time, hidden from plain sight. This only makes them more valuable when you find them.
I am truly pleased about all the details the composer went through when composing this album. You hear exotic instruments like the ukelele, male and female choirs, piano, beautiful cello's and violins, an amazing array of percussion and all is very well put together to give a sense of grandeur, freedom and hope. I truly reccommend it to anyone who likes inspiring music.
All the songs are unique and really beautiful, there is no bad song here. Even though you wish some of the songs were longer, it has 19 songs, so it's still a very good purchase.
I enjoyed listening to all the songs from Soul Surfer, and my 5 and 3 year old constantly ask to hear the songs too. I noticed the "After Midnight" song from the night surfing scene was not on there, which disappointed me at first. But when I looked up the song I realized it has swear words in it (not heard in the movie), so I was glad they did not include that song. I wouldn't be able to listen to it around my kids otherwise, and I think that will be pleasing to the movie's large Christian audience. The songs are inspiring to listen to, and when I play the CD, I feel like I am watching the movie again.
Great, feel good CD from a great movie...an eclectic mix of music, all of it well done...my teenager on down to my 1 year old (plus my wife and I) love to listen to it...most songs not overtly contemporary Christian, but the truth and fun shine through...
Die Lieferung hat gedauert, aber war mir bewusst, da aus Amerika, weil hier nicht günstig zu bekommen ! Zweifel ,ob Kopie oder Original - deshalb ein * Abzug !? Aber die Musik ist wirklich spitze !!!! Einfach mitreißend !Das wusste ich vorher schon, denn den Film fanden wir schon Spitzenklasse ! Es sind leider nicht alle Songs aus dem Film drauf....schade ! Aber doch empfehlenswert und unbedingt den Film auch !!!
I love this kind of music! I love Summer music, so this is perfect for me! There were a couple of songs though that I didn't like. Unfortunately I just lost the CD in a car fire a couple of weeks ago :(
Mi aspettavo L intera colonna sonora, invece mancano i pezzi di Marco Beltrami e altri brani del film . Insomma preciso nella spedizione il venditore ma il cd mi ha deluso.
