EZ Online Application

Online Application Process for Eligible Families

We are pleased to provide eligible households with an online process called the EZ application. We strongly recommend that you confirm export eligibility with your employing member school in advance of completing the EZ app.

The EZ Application is for students seeking a new TE Scholarship. Existing students should not complete this application, doing so could jeopardize your existing TE scholarship If you have questions regarding this application process, please contact your Liaison Officer or Administrator at your Export (employer) school.

Tuition Exchange is the proud host for the FACHEX scholarship system. If you are employed at a participating FACHEX school, the EZ application is available at both FACHEX schools and Tuition Exchange schools. If you have questions specific to the FACHEX Program, please contact your FACHEX Administrator directly.

The online application process has three (3) steps:

  1. 1. The employee completes the online application (EZ app). Once you click submit, the completed application goes to your employer's Liaison Officer or Administrator for certification of export eligibility (i.e., the employee is eligible for the exchange opportunity now).

  2. 2. Once the export eligibility is reviewed and confirmed eligible by your employer, the EZ application(s) is certified and sent to the importing school(s) selected by your student on the EZ form.

  3. Emails are sent to the student applicant and employee once the applications are certified and forwarded. It is essential for you and your dependent to provide valid email addresses. The host email address is noreply@tuitionexchange.org. You are encouraged to check your SPAM account if you don't receive an email acknowledgment directly in your mailbox.
The student should complete his/her application(s) for admission by the filing deadline(s) specified by the import school(s).

If the EZ application is determined ineligible for certification (i.e., the employee is NOT eligible for the exchange opportunity at this time), the employee receives a certification denial email and the EZ application(s) is NOT forwarded to the schools selected by the student. For questions about why your EZ application request was denied certification, contact your employer's Liaison Officer or Administrator directly. The Tuition Exchange Central Office will not be able to respond to employee eligibility questions.

  4. 3. At this point, the importing schools take over the EZ application review process. The Import school will notify the exporting Liaison Officer or Administrator and families once an Exchange scholarship eligibility decision is made. Notification usually occurs in the spring and is shared via an award letter or financial aid award notification.

Other Important Tips

  • ♦ Many schools limit the number of Exchange applications any one applicant may send. Be sure to review your school's application guidelines and eligibility criteria.

  • ♦ If you wish to apply to additional Tuition Exchange schools after submitting the EZ app, you begin again. DO NOT include ANY schools listed on a previously submitting EZ application.

  • ♦ Many schools have Exchange Application deadlines. It is important to check with both the Export school and Import schools to be sure you don't miss a primary filing deadline.

  • ♦ Schools often require families to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available for annual submission beginning October 1.

  • ♦ The Tuition Exchange website (www.tuitionexchange.org) front page, and "Families" tab provide considerable information. You are encouraged to review the articles, watch the family webinar and utilize the search function to help you better understand the exchange process and familiarize yourself with member schools' policies and procedures.

  • ♦ Your best resource is always the Liaison Officer or Administrator at your Export (employing) school. For new students, your Admissions Counselor is also an excellent resource, and for continuing students, the Financial Aid Office can help you navigate the process. Tuition Exchange Central Office will not be able to respond to questions regarding Import schools' application or recipient selection processes.

  • ♦ Tuition Exchange is the proud host for the FACHEX scholarship system. If you are employed at a FACHEX school, the EZ application is available at both FACHEX schools and Tuition Exchange schools. If you have questions specific to the FACHEX Program, please contact your FACHEX administrator directly.

You may apply to more than one school at a time by holding down ctrl (PC) or command (MAC) and clicking multiple schools. If you require submission through more than 10 schools, contact your liaison officer. Submission of multiple applications could result in a decline from your employer to the TE program. If you do not see the desired school listed it is possible you missed the enrollment period for the application year or the school is not accepting online applications at this time.

I certify I have read the full instructions for completing the Tuition Exchange application. I understand that a separate application for admission is required, and that the TE EZ app may not be considered until the application for admission is complete.
