A visit to Twycross zoo is so much more than just a day out. Admission for each visitor contributes to saving our conservation charity from extinction.

Set in over 100 acres of outdoor space, you can enjoy a safe day out at Twycross Zoo this summer. See over 500 animals including Tigers, Rhino, Penguins, Giraffe and Chimpanzees in their award-winning habitats. Enjoy memorable moments as you hand feed the Lorikeets, pet the goats, walk with Lemurs and more.

Let your little monkeys run wild around our outdoor play areas - PLUS your little ones can travel in style as they take the wheel of their own Safari Car and travel along the track around Explorer Zone.

Twycross Zoo is also home to The Gruffalo Discovery Land. • Uncover the story - Almost six decades ago, two best friends, Molly Badham and Nathalie Evans and their small collection of animals, which started with a pair of chimpanzees, founded the award-winning Twycross Zoo. Little did they know that what started from small beginnings would go on to become a world-renowned primate centre, setting standards for zoos across the globe.
The only UK zoo which is home all four great apes, Twycross Zoo has a rich and vibrant history and a wealth of accomplishments, being the first UK zoo to successfully breed the Colobus Monkey and Bonobo in vital conservation programmes.
The ladies’ pioneering spirit continues to run wild through the zoo as its award cabinet continues to grow with countless accolades for animal husbandry, care and breeding. And it is now home to more than 500 animals from over 100 species; some of which are the most critically endangered on the planet.
Wide-eyed visitors can explore the curious world of Chimpanzees as they’re transported to the jungle in their award-winning habitat Chimpanzee Eden, get up close to the Bornean Orang-utans with their distinctive red hair and long limbs, and will be charmed by the twinkling eyes and inquisitive faces of the Twycross toddlers.
Visitors will find the only group of Bonobos in the UK, and can watch as they playfully navigate their habitat, including one-year old Lola, named after conservation partner Lola ya Bonobo, based in Africa.
As well as the four great apes, visitors can walk beneath the tiger tunnel as the zoo’s resident Sumatran Tigers prowl their enclosure, see a dazzle of Zebra, Meerkats on the lookout and more.
A visit to Twycross Zoo is so much more than just a day out, with your entry fee directly contributing to the zoo’s award-winning animal care and global conservation efforts.
