What are some good, free multiplayer steam games?

My friends and I played Muck and had a great time. We're looking for either co-op or against each other, but preferably something that needs low system requirements and doesn't take up a lot of space. Any suggestions?

I recommend browsing the Free to Play section of Steam. Looking at the "what's being played" tab will give you an idea of what's popular.

I know, I'm just showing you to a list, but honestly, just browse for yourself. There are so many games, you're more likely to find something you like by looking at more of them, than just getting a few recommendations here.

If you want to play a Diablo III-esque game that's pretty intense and will almost certainly make you hate gaming (but is still good enough you draw you back a few months later), try Path of Exile.

It's a lot of irritating fun

I still don't understand why it was never more popular, but unepic was fuckin great co op insanity

paladins or warframe are solid games that are completely free to play so try those if you haven't yet

Warframe is good but will consume all the disk spaces.
