    Beautiful views!
Get there early! Otherwise you spend your whole day in car queues to park and visit the site. Bus ride can cause you to be a bit queasy as it is a bit like a roller coaster ride. Kudos to those bus drivers! Mad driving skills! As you arrive you are directed to a leisure bus that drives you through the volcano area - very cool takes about 35 minutes. Enjoyed the sites! Phenomenal views.

Getting up close to volcanic landscapes.
Very interesting visit as we had never seen volcanic lava fields and the associated landscapes. Demonstration of the steam eruption was great as was the hot rock chicken oven, overall well worth a visit and if you go by coach they take you on a fantastic trip along a mountain road through the moonscape!!

    A must see in Lanzarote
Timanfaya Park is a must visit if you go to Lanzarote. There was a long wait of one hour to get into the park (because of many visitors) but it was well coordinated by the park personnel. The best part of the visit is the guided tour bus that cover espectacular views of the area. The visitor center was not very interesting. And finally we enjoyed a good piece of steak cooked on the volcano heat, something we do not do every day!

    A good day out
The coach trip once you get to the visitor centre is "out of this world" as you are driven around/inside the volcanic remains. The restaurant/ cafe is also a decent stop, as is the shop. Go early, as there can be car loads of queues in the morning, or go in afternoon when it is less busy.

    A Must
This is absolutely a must see attraction, if you are coming to Lanzarote. At the visitor centre, you will feel hot stones in your hands, see fire come up from the ground, and see a hot water geyser spurting. You are not allowed to get out in parts, due to the authorities attempting to preserve the park. Always, in my opinion go on a coach tour, as they will get priority over cars (you can wait for around 2 hours to get into the park apparently) The tour we went on, we were picked up at 8:40am and dropped off at around 2:10pm This was the “short tour” and was around 31 euros per adult.

A good half day out seeing the landscapes
It was a really enjoyable half day out! We ignored the poor reviews and so glad we did! People going on this trip should want to see the amazing scenery rather than worry about a gift shop! We went by hire car and expected to queues so we were prepared. Aftrt 1 hr 40 mins of queueing we were there and straight onto a coach with an excellent driver. The coach was comfortable, and the views were amazing. We then took in the views, used the facilities, and left. My only slight complaint was lack of choice in cafe especially with no choice for GF diets. But we left and got something at our villa. We paid 48 euros for 4 of us which seems really reasonable. An interesting morning! Dont go if you are expecting anything other than a visitor centre and amazing views of the landscape and volcanoes.

Very interesting and worth visiting but make sure you get a skip the line tour bus.
We visited this as part of a premium tour (which was great). The drive up to the volcano is very scenic with almost martian like landscapes. The volcano itself was good, there were demonstrations where you get to hold hot rocks and a fun water spout trick. There is also the option of volcano cooked chicken which we did not get to try but it looked very nice. We did not stay long with our tour, maybe around 30 minutes but I felt this was more than enough time as once you see the demonstration there was not much more to do apart from having some lunch. There was a massive line of cars waiting to get in and it looked like it would take a very long time to reach the entrance. I do not think I would wait in line to see the volcano. I would highly advise you to do this as part of a guided tour as you get straight through the lines. The premium tour we went on was perfect and quite inexpensive especially considering how many other sights we saw. It is 100% worth it for time efficiency and value.

    Going early is a must
Amazing if you go early....we arrived at 8:45 and there were still a few cars in front of us. The photo is the queue when we left at 10:15. Lovely little tour, hot put and steam demo.

    Go early if you can
Absolutely fantastic experience. We were on an arranged excursion and we arrived at the park around 9am. This was clearly a benefit to us as when we were leaving there was huge queues of cars trying to get up to the top. The view from the top is spectacular and the experiments and experience are worth it as this is so unique. Highly recommend

    Amazing experience but arrive later!
Great experience. An absolute must see. The environment is out of this world and a once in a lifetime experience. After reading other reviews about queuing we went to the national museum first 4km down the road which tells you all about the volcanoes and lets you walk out into a lava field (museum is free) we then arrived at Timanfaya national park at 15:00 as advised by many others. Literally queued for 5 minutes and then sent up into a busy but well managed car park. Definitely go later and tie in a visit to the museum first. If we had of paid for an excursion I would disappointed as can be done in around an hour, but if you drive, arrive later on in the day and tie it in with the museum, its a bargain and works out much cheaper. We got a 2 day car hire and entrance to the park for the same price as a half day excursion which did less than half of what we did. We also have the cat for an extra day to go somewhere else as an added bonus. €12 for an adult and €6 for children entrance. Includes bus tour. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but looked good!

This is a must do for anyone in Lanzarote. Along with a coach trip of most of the island this will help you make sense of everytrhing you see. I often try and do stuff under my own steam but this is a good time to book into a commercial trip with a good guide. The sites are impressive along with demonstrations of just how hot it still is at the top of the volcano

First things first,I arrived in the restaurant of this premises and i was a tad bit confused. You just walked in and sat down.I was a bit confused at this but all was well.I had the chicken and chips and it was very delectable.I then got on the bus to go on a tour and i think it was a horrible experience being on the bus.Outside the bus its 600 degrees in the craters and there was no air con in the bus.I was feeling very hot.It was a very long bus ride. The bus ride ended and i went over to the steps on this premises and this man working there but scolding hot rocks on my hands and they’re now burnt and in pain.I think the fire burning in the ground is a massive hazard to the tourists around it.It is a bit of a safety hazard. Then the man poured water into the ground and caused the water to erupt and so people got wet.The bathrooms were very strange.I felt like i was in a jail cell opening the door.Overall it wasn’t a horrible experience but for the sake of it i’d say it’s pretty good.

Really enjoyed the Timanfaya Experience. Landscape is amazing and kids learnt a lot about volcanos.
Get there early though as very busy ! We went in our hire car and got there about 10. We had to queue for about 45 mins until we got in, fairly limited parking. If possible get a taxi there as they can drive through and drop you off (although didn’t see a taxi rank to get out again !). Once parked you leave the car behind and get driven around in a tour coach. Plenty of photo stops although you don’t get off the coach.
Definitely worth the money.

You don't need to schedule a tour to visit this site. A bus tour and 3 different demonstrations are included with the admission. Recommended.

An amazing experience.
We had a hire car so arrived before 9am and managed to beat the queues.
We parked and boarded the coach that took us all around the volcano. This was a great experience even for someone quite nervous. Our coach driver stopped occasionally so we could take better photos. At the end of the coach tour followed the staff to see some displays showing you how hot the ground below still is, my son was really impressed with all the displays. Seeing the chicken cooking over the heat was amazing. We used the restaurant and the toilets and both were very good.
When we left the queues were absolutely huge so we felt rather smug having got up early to avoid this.
After many years of coming to Lanzarote we were so pleased that we finally got round to doing the volcano tour and I would highly recommend this to all.

First holiday away with my partner we went to Lanzarote. And of course we had to see the sights. Timanfaya is beautiful and I would recommend it to everyone. It is cheaper to rent your own car and go to see the sights in the island yourself rather then getting an excursion deal.

On the way in please expect some traffic. We were sat for about 30-45 minutes in a queue to the car park.
The car park can be difficult to park in but there is a guide to show you were to park. Just note you will be parking at the top of the cliff so please be careful when parking.
After you’ve gotten your tickets you will go on a coach ride around the volcanos and surrounding environment. This is beautiful and I would suggest sitting at the front to get the best views!!
Once you return you will be able to see their gift shop as well as their cafe. There is an area where you can see them cooking chicken over a hot vent which is bringing hot air from deep below the earths surface. They also show you a trick using water and vents in the floor.

I've been here three times now - as a couple, with family and with friends. It's an interesting tour, the scenery is fantastic and the restaurant, its design and history are great though the food is not fantastic.
Well worth seeing - the buster included in the entry price has a good commentary in multiple languages.

We went at approximately 2pm and waited a maximum of 20 mins, which sounds much more manageable than the morning times, especially with children in the car. The stewards were clear and we got straight on a bus. The recommendation to sit on the right hand side of the bus was great as it does get the lion's share of views and photo opportunities. The demonstrations at the end were fun as well. Overall, a fabulous day out.

Brilliant experience - we went in the afternoon at 3pm and drove straight in to an empty car park and straight in to the tour bus that is included in your ticket price. There’s then a guided tour that lasts about half an hour and a few live experiments. We have ended with a few drinks in the cafe with amazing views. Amazing
