Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Nelgumford687 contributionsWe mostly went to the cafe because it was cold and getting dark by the time we got there. It was nice in there. I particularly liked that the product shots of the bacon and beef were still on the hoof. I was not impressed that they DON'T TAKE CASH. This is not good enough. It might have been to take your mind off how high the prices were. There was then a bit of a wait so you might not focus on how small the portions were. Over all, it was nice but it could do better.Written 14 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AlinaRCHertfordshire1,704 contributionsCherry blossom season is the most attractive time of the year in Fairlands Park. Near the main car park on Fairlands Way, cherry trees line the road. There is also a circle of ornamental cherries around the maze. There are more native cherry trees are above the middle (Millenium) lake. Other white blossoms - hawthorns and wayfaring trees -help give the park a very spring like feel.
Overall the park is well maintained with paths kept up and very little litter. Given how wet the weather has been, this makes for pleasant walking. It is also a good place to to see and hear birds. As well as more common species like robins, song thrush, blackbirds and chaffinch; you can also find chiff chaff and blackcaps near the water.
There is a cafe in the park which serves a reasonable range of hot drinks and snacks. It closes at 4pm, and the toilets are also available only while the cafe is open. The park is mainly used by locals, but is well worth a trip from other parts of Hertfordshire.Written 17 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Great performance just a few things that could be improved in seating and parkingWritten 17 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wingateLondon, UK2,600 contributionsHaving no other game to go to today I went to see Stevenage vOxford.I sat in row B in the West Stand. The advertising boards obscured my view of the touchline, but generally a good view.
The ground does show its non league origins inn places.
I thought that the home crowd were on the quiet side.
There is free parking just across the road from the ground.Written 30 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nelgumford687 contributionsI have known this landmark since the 1970s. Originally, all of the water was at one level. At some point they created a raised, upper pond. I am not such a fan of the new arrangement. At least it is going to survive the ongoing descruction of the Town Centre.Written 7 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LynnBournemouth, UK68 contributionsBeautiful walk, but find the birds Abit scary as they are free to roam around and raise there wings my fear is someone will get hurt. In my opinion the birds need to be better taimed.Written 4 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - therichastillStevenage, UK2,886 contributionsThe local crematorium in Stevenage is Harwood Park. It is on the outskirts of the town and is well signposted from Broadhall Way and Hertford Road.
There is plenty of parking for cars and there is a small reception area before going into the chapel.
The chapel is really nice and there is a lovely view from the window of the Hertfordshire countryside which is nice to see as you remember your loved one. The surrounding area is where people are buried or have ashes scattered and there are some nice places to sit and contemplate.Written 20 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is a bit squeaky on my shoes when wet though.
I like that this church is still there after almost a thousand years when so much else around it has changed so very much in the last century, with the last of the fields about to be upgraded from crops into a housing estate.Written 7 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
