Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Diana RBirch Run, MI2,096 contributionsWe spent two days in Frankfurt, a five minute walk from this beautiful square. We enjoyed people watching here, the street performers and the many places to eat or have a drink. We also shopped and visited the beautiful churches.Written 14 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Marina CMainz, Germany43 contributionsMagical day ended with rude customer service at the souvenir shop:
After a private group tour, lunch at the museum restaurant, and solo wandering, I was so excited about some of the art that I decided to buy some souvenirs at the museum shop. I was buying 9 paper items (not postcards) on a very rainy day. I inquired if the shop has plastic bags and, when I saw the bags had the museum name, I briefly considered giving my friends the items in these bags as well.
One of the shop clerks was suspicious and unfriendly from the start, questioning me rather unpleasantly and, in the end, pushing/throwing 3 bags, that I paid a euro per bag for, toward me, displeased and annoyed, ignoring my warm „Danke“.
Germany is doing an amazing job of valuing art, yet it cannot stop its rude customer service problem. I am writing in hope that the museum administration might read and care to provide a more pleasant customer experience.Written 20 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It got its name from the river Majna, so it is called Main Tower. 240 m high with antenna. You can take the elevator to the 54th floor (196m), but you can climb the stairs to a height of 200m from where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the city and the surrounding area. Everything is very well insured so there is really no room for fear.Written 4 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - md1mmSheffield, UK1,615 contributionsThis is a large museum of natural history. Very similar to natural history museums in other major cities. Several dinosaurs, some of which are original and some are casts. If you can get on a tour, it is definitely worth it.Written 11 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Onni L33 contributionsThey call Frankfurt the German Manhatten and I do understand it. It has a similar feel to it. The bridge is a great spot to have a nice skyline view. It also connects to the old with the new part of the city. Must do!Written 7 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Christina SNewport News, VA113 contributionsI was only in Frankfurt to catch a plane, but looked for something to do the day before. This turned out to be an interesting visit. Admittedly, I am not well-versed about Goethe, but know the basics. Honestly, if this had been Hans the baker's preserved house it would have been just as cool to visit. The architecture was comely, the furnishings were alternately elegant and over the top. There is a lovely garden with an immense fig tree. The still-green figs were as big as my fist! I'd have loved to have gotten a ripe one.
Upstairs is a whole art museum. I didn't even see the entire thing. The staircase to access it reminded me of a Fritz Lang movie. If you go, you'll see what I mean.
It was certainly worth the visit.Written 17 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are lots of cafes, restaurants and other amenities.Written 12 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
