When Seinfeld premiered on NBC in 1989, no one knew of the impact the show would have on American television. Week after week, millions turned on their screens to watch a quartet of friends and their adventures in New York City. Based off the stand-up routines of comedian (and the show's star) Jerry Seinfeld, the award-winning series made actors into household names and jokes that would forever become part of the lexicon of comedy.
