Bland, dull, inexplicable changes to the mythology, bad to truly terrible acting, bad direction, crappy characters, has the guy who made this ever seen Texan’s outside of a Scooby-Doo cartoon? The worst offense of this is just how dull it is & the music is pretty disappointing, the tree looks really great, that much I can say about this. Bizarrely the infamous remake is actually more enjoyable than this, at least it is hilarious. At times this one feels like a remake as well, albeit an even worse one. Even the 20 sec. appearance of Christopher Lee doesn’t help. Man is the ending terrible, like absolutely atrocious even by this movie’s standards. I know that it has been 38 years but wth happened dude? I hope that from here the only way is up as far as the sequel is concerned.

Retread of the original Wicker Man substituting a pair of annoying holier-than-thou American "missionaries"for Edward Woodward and replacing the Wicker man with a tree.lacks any tension or suspense,but still way better than the pointless Cage remake.
