Manohla Dargis Spin Singer has an obvious grasp of craft, but it's far less clear whether he has anything to say about movies, violence, the world, or his place in the world. Dec 27, 2022 Full Review Rene Rodriguez Miami Herald The Usual Suspects flirts with greatness but attempts too much. It's a fascinating failure. Rated: 2/4 Aug 18, 2021 Full Review Doug Thomas Seattle Times An imaginative, entertaining crime mystery with plenty of nerve and vigor. Rated: 3.5/4 Jun 18, 2013 Full Review Todd James Vue Weekly (Edmonton, Alberta) The end of this movie doesn't justify the means as director Bryan Singer takes his audience on a cat and mouse chase that never finds its way. Geir E Surprised to see much mixed reviews! This is a classic of american 90s cinema - recommend all movie interested persons to watch it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/13/24 Full Review Mido K When you talk about plot twist Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/05/24 Full Review Webb H It's got a great cast and solid storytelling, but the ending becomes sort of obvious, which really lessens the impact Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/04/24 Full Review Nathan W I'm not gonna lie... I didn't love this movie. The storytelling was very non linear and a little hard to follow. I thought the casting choices were, shall we say, unusual. Definitely not a group of actors I would ever expect to see in leading roles together. The writing was fine but I ultimately found it lacking in suspense. The ending wasn't all that difficult to see coming which kind of ruins the whole thing. While not a bad movie, I think this one is wildly overrated. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/29/24 Full Review Vladan A I loved it. It was enterntaining from start to finish and I highly recommend it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/28/24 Full Review Aidan B Plot twist was fairly predictable, though overall, "The Usual Suspects" is an absolutely fantastic film with great performances and entertaining sequences throughout that keep you on the edge of your seat.
