Reconquest operation

Never confess
by Ivan Calbérac

Comedy, 1h30. In theaters.

At 73, retired general François Marsault (André Dussollier) has everything to be happy: large family, beautiful home and sparkling wife (Sabine Azéma) with whom he has been in perfect love for fifty years. But when this energetic septuagenarian discovers that his wife cheated on him in the first years of their marriage, nothing goes well. Determined to fight to defend his flouted honor, François sets out with determination to follow in the footsteps of his former rival Boris (Thierry Lhermitte). Unfortunately, the operation does not go as planned by the former high-ranking officer… Brought together for the twelfth time on screen, Sabine Azéma and André Dussolier form, as always, a delicious duo of actors. Unforgettable in the films of Alain Resnais (Mélo, We know the song, Wild herbs), hilarious in the two Tanguys by Étienne Chatiliez, the tandem, this time directed by director Ivan Calbérac, works wonderfully. A lively and funny comedy.
