I think I did too.

Ditto. It was a core SNL memory for me. I can't think of this show without giant Jimmy Carter kissing the cleaning woman.

I remember watching this live. I was about 9 and didn’t really understand 3 Mile Island at the time but I just liked Jimmy Carter turning into a giant and marrying the cleaning lady.

Didn't that movie come out before 3 Mile Island... and then it's a coincidence that the movie describes like exactly the incident?

Yeah, it was 2 weeks before.

I think this is the best sketch of the original area. I really miss this level of ambition. 

It’s a close race between this, Word Association, French Chef, and Last Voyage of the Starship Enterprise.
