Wedding & Other Romantic Music
Schubert's "Ave Maria" isn't the only choice when it comes to choosing memorable music for your ceremony. Whether you decide to charm your
guests with a harp solo, a flute duo, a string quartet or surprise them with
bagpipes,
the music you choose for your ceremony will directly reflect the mood of the event.
At the ceremony, choose songs for:
- Guests arrival
- Bridal-party processional
- Bride's processional
- Recessional
At your reception, choose songs to play for:
- The introcution of the bridal party (be sure to tell the DJ to have the music low as he/she introduces the bridal party. Many DJ's
have the music way too loud which drowns out the announcements).
- The entrance of the Bride and Groom
- Your first dance as a couple
- Father/Bride dance
- Mother/Groom dance
- Cake cutting
- Last dance before you leave the reception
Use music to further the theme or location of your wedding:
- Island location or Rocky Point beach wedding - Steel drums, Mariachi band or raggae music
- Country setting - Bluegrass, country or folk music
- City site - Smooth Jazz
- Other music ideas: Barbershop quartet, bagpipes, your university's marching band
