These were not the only seats around that were unoccupied. (RL)

Martin Henzel (Larry Burns) tells the Inspector that he hasn't seen Karl in months. Tower Hill Terrace EC3 with the Tower of London in the background. The area is also seen in 'The London Nobody Knows'.

Replacing Richard's shot with his blessing, a closer shot to show the best of the Tower. SJ

Sharkey (Jack Sharp) has no information about Hunzinger. Seen in 1966's 'Alfie', 'Three Hats for Lisa', 'The Satanic Rites of Dracula', 'Jazz Boat' and 'The Naked Edge', this is Tower Wharf in EC3 with Tower Pier in the background and Tower Bridge beyond.

A crisp wintry day. SJ

'Round Head' from Mile End knows nothing. Looking towards Waterloo Bridge from the W. T. Stead Memorial adjacent to Temple Pier on Victoria Embankment WC2.

A higher tide, so HQS Wellington is elevated. And a handrail has been added. SJ

An animated Mike from Canning Town (Arthur Mullard) explains that he can't help. Tris locates this as Trinity Square EC3, with the former Port of London Authority Building, now Hôtel Four Seasons at Ten Trinity Square, in the background.

Taken further back to show the top of Trinity House. SJ

Marline Miller (Margaret Sheridan) makes her way home after arriving on a late flight. Jules Ballantyne finds Marline living at 7 Netherhall Gardens, London NW3. (RL)

Paul Lincoln found, amongst other things that the gates have been removed, no doubt to make parking easier. (RL)

Joe appears from the bushes outside the building and asks the stewardess to dinner. Following on from the previous capture we remain outside 7 Netherhall Gardens, NW3 (RL)

With nobody chatting Paul was free to take this shot for us. (RL)

Following a lead, Joe and Marline visit the Chelsea pub where Tim Yeo is the landlord. The Grenadier public house on Wilton Row in Belgravia SW1 which can also be seen in 'Street Corner', while other views of Wilton Row appear in 'Blind Date'.

From street level, the same pub which serves a lovely pint. (PW)

Obtaining one of Marline's brooches, Joe makes his way to see Thompson Blake. Looking east along St. Cross Street from the corner of Hatton Garden in EC1.

Full marks to Paul for capturing someone in almost exactly the correct place. (RL)

The U.S. Treasury Agent turns the corner into Hatton Garden. The street sign is a giveaway.

Paul found the spot despite the street sign having been taken away. (RL)

Joe enters the premises where Blake confirms that the brooch also contains a fake diamond. W. E. Vokes & Sons were at 15 Hatton Garden. Hatton Garden and the surrounding streets also appear in ‘Robbery’, ‘Dateline Diamonds’, ‘The Frightened Man’, ‘A Fish Called Wanda’, 'High Heels and Low Lifes', 'King of the Underworld', 'King of Thieves', ‘The Hatton Garden Job’, ‘Eyes Wide Shut', ‘The Primitives’ and ‘The Secret Place’.

Paul Lincoln did well to capture the same location but a very different scene. (RL)

At TWA's office, Mac asks Marline about Tomaszow and is told that it's a city in Poland. Dave W places this as 200 Piccadilly, London W1, now re-developed.

TWA ceased operating in 2001 and here is the replacement. SJ

Joe is ordered from her apartment by an angry Marline after he returns the brooch. Does that "GPO" pavement cover place him on the boundary between Nos: 5 and 7 Netherhall Gardens as found by Jules. (RL)

With no wall to line up and cars nose to tail behind him Paul did his best to capture the changes here. (RL)

As he turns a corner, Joe is run down by a van driven by Castle, one of Yeo's men. Turning that corner today in Netherhall Gardens, NW3, as found by Jules, he would find, despite H&S, those barriers removed. (RL)

We can see Paul's difficulty with this one! (RL)

Watched by a Beech Patrol, the two crooks make their way through the dunes to a waiting Jaguar.

The alert is sent to all cars in the Lowestoft area and operation 'Fox & Hounds' is put into effect. Dave W takes the evidence provided by the following captures and places this as further north on the A1000, just north of the M25 bridge. In particular, telling us that in the film capture the rise to the right is Dove Lane. On the extreme right the semis with the central chimney stack must be 1 and 3 of Dove Lane and that it looks as though the line of poplars in the background has gone. (RL)

Andrew Hutchings once lived nearby and risked Life and limb standing in the middle of the road to obtain this comparison.

Fox & Hounds one pulls into The Duke o' York's car park and Fox & Hounds two takes up the pursuit. Dave W tells us the location of this particular 'Duke o' York' public house, Barnet Road at Ganwick Corner on the A1000 the south of Potters Bar in Hertfordshire. (RL)

Waiting for a gap in the traffic, Andrew Hutchings captured the view from outside the pub.

Over the radio in Fox & Hounds two, Evans transmits his position to Inspector McClaren. Looking north at the corner of Dancers Hill Road and Barnet Road (Great North Road) at Ganwick Corner.

From the safety of the roadside, Andrew Hutchings turned around to take this shot.

As the Jaguar passes, a young Boy runs into the road. Another from Dave W, looking north west at the junction of Mornington Street and Mornington Terrace, London NW1 with Prefab's 5, 24 and 25 on the right hand side. (RL)

Denis proves that the pre-fabs are long gone. (RL)

Ashley swerves to miss the Boy, losing sight of the Jaguar. Whilst in the area Dave W spotted PreFab No 5a on the corner of Mornington Street and Mornington Terrace, London NW1 looking south east. (RL)

The post box has become fatter over the years Denis. (RL)

Marline hails a cab outside her apartment before being attacked and kidnapped by Castle.

With the wanted Jaguar spotted by Constable Wilkins, Hunzinger, Hoxie and Blake leave a pub in St. John's Wood. It may have been St. John's Wood in the film but Dave W tells us that in fact they were still in Hatton Garden. This was 'The Globe', on the corner of Greville Street and Hatton Garden, London EC1, since demolished. (RL)

Paul Lincoln provides this shot of the same corner, 'The Globe' now a distant memory. (RL)

Constable Wilkins approaches as Hunzinger and Hoxie get into the Jaguar. Dave W wonders why he didn't spot this one sooner, looking down Leather Lane EC1 towards Holborn with the Prudential Assurance building on the right. (RL)

Replacing Dave's Google Earth View from Dec 2020. SJ

Mac and Joe are driven to St. John's Wood, from Dave tells us, a mere camera nudge to the right of the above capture for the view along Greville Street and the rear of the Prudential Assurance building which was extended in 1993, thus removing any possibility of such a view now. (RL)

Nothing getting through there. SJ

Constable Wilkins struggles with Hoxie as Mac and Joe arrive on the scene. The same position as C31 says Dave hinting at the Gothic Revival style of the Prudential building's brickwork. (RL)

These Lime bikes do get around. SJ

Chased by Joe, Hunzinger and Hoxie make a break for it. Acacia Road NW8 with the corner of Kingsmill Terrace in the darkness to the right.

It all looks much clearer in daylight. I rather hope I'm standing in roughly the same spot. SJ

Joe follows Hunzinger into a station. The booking hall of St. John’s Wood Underground station which stands at the corner of Finchley Road and Acacia Road in London NW8.

Barriers have certainly changed over the years and a member of staff confirmed to Paul that there was indeed a ticket office window there originally.

Hunzinger runs towards the up escalator. More of St. John’s Wood station.

We can't keep Paul away from St. John's Wood Station but everyone else appears to manage. (RL)

Joe shoots the killer of his pal Mickey Sweeney. The circulating area at the top of the escalator at St. John’s Wood station.

Paul Lincoln did well on a moving escalator and there was nobody there to intimidate him with a gun. (RL)

Mac impounds Joe's gun before a radio message is received that the location of Yeo's workshop has been found. St. John’s Wood station at the corner of Finchley Road and Acacia Road in NW8, which also appears in 'The Strange Case of Blondie', 'It's Never Too Late', ‘Black Orchid’, ‘One Way Out’ and ‘Mantrap’.
