It's worth the return trip.... You get to see lot of architectural beauties from the top uninterrupted. The rooftop restaurant with promise of more panoramic views and the choicest delicious food is a sham.....

This is a lovely cable car that rides from the Park across to the wilder park outside of town.
It is cheaply priced and when we visited the queue was reasonable. The views of the city behind, and the park below were very clear, and the ride itself smooth and fun. In total, it lasts about 12 minutes
We choose to only go one way and after a walk in the park, caught the Metro back into the town.

Bought combination with zoo ticket. Queue about 20 mins so not too bad. English commrntary didn't appear to work as we had no commentary. We all enjoyed the views and the journey.
We were aware it was a 30 min walk to the zoo, and were happy with that. However, had we not had google maps to guide us I think we would've been wandering for hours in the heat!! There are literally no signs to help you reach the zoo. We treated it as a bit of a joke and made it as fun as we could, but seriously, if you don't have a smart phone with a working map app (and data plan of course) I don't recommend the walk. The park is massively and you could seriously end up walking round for hours!!

Was a great 10 minutes over the river and large park. Park was very dry but nice just the same. Probably very green when more rain comes.

We were a couple visiting Madrid for 5 days. The teleferico offered a great view. We combined the teleferico with a tour to the zoo.
The trip is roughly 10 minutes each way. I recommend to buy the return ticket. We did not try the cafe, but instead we simply enjoyed the view from the view point.
You can get a cable car for your self.

Rode the Teleferico during my recent visit to Madrid. We were visiting my son who lives just a few blocks from there. It was mid afternoon on a Saturday (I think). The line was fairly long but we thought the wait was worth it. There is supposed to be some audio but we weren't sure if it was working or if they never turned it on for us. We rode to the top and then walked around a bit. I would have liked to spend more time walking one of the many trails but our time was limited. Maybe on my next visit. There was no line for the return and by the time we got down we noticed there was no line to go up anymore
While riding down, we noticed a beautiful rose garden just below where you get on to go up. We would never have seen it otherwise because it's kind of hidden. After the ride we went down to the gardens which were in full bloom and just gorgeous. My son didn't even know the rose garden was there and like I said, he lives just a few blocks away.

We recently visited Madrid and riding the teleferico was a last minute decision. It was a challenge getting there (we took it from Casa Campo Park therefore we called an "uber" to get there). Once there we got our tickets and we were in the car within a matter of minutes. Definitely a great way to view the city in a different way. If you have the time, buy a ticket and ride the teleferico at least one way.

I have taken the Teleferico on a number of occasions and I find it great. the views are nice passing out over the train station and motorway out over the peacful park.Be aware that on busy days you could be queuing for a long time to get in. It is worth going earlier to avoid the rush.

We found the attraction worth waiting for in a 20-minute line even though the trip only lasts 11 minutes each way. We were able to sit only by ourselves in the one cart, had a wonderful view on madrid and great time walking on the other side of Madrid in that huge park.
The line on the other side of Madrid at 6 pm was really long, but the service people were great looking for 2-party-groups so they can sit them into other 3-party-groups in the carts so it went a lot faster (5 peole fit in a cart) and we saved around an hour time.
Great view, not too expensive and a wonderful time away from city center.
We did not find the Teleferico being "at the outskirts" of Madrid as someone mentioned here. We walked a lot each day and found it rather central.
