History of the theater and its inception. Seeing the interior of the theater and the film. The tour guide was great with filling in details and answering questions.

we were unable to take the Theate Tour on the day of booking (Saturday May 20th) as the theatre and its frontage area was closed for a private party (something to do with the Premier of Fast X). We received no advanced warning that tours would not run that day from the operator nor any reply to to telephone calls or written enquiry.to the operator. In fact we were left totally to our own devices to sort the matter out.
Fortunately we managed to speak to one of the tour guides in person on the Monday afternoon at the end of her last tour of the day. She recommended that we return for the 10.15 tour on the Wednesday which we duely did.
We were fortunate to catch this helpful tour guide as the operator appears to be totally useless . A week later, and now back in the UK, we have still not received a response from the operator.
From what I can gather there are many private events throughout the year that close the theatre to the public, so beware that any booking you make throught this operator may be cancelled without any warning advanced or otherwise.

We got to see the inside of the theatre, learn some of the history, and see some costumes. We were shown some movie trailers but needed to leave before they were done so they could get ready for a scheduled film showing. Recommend skip the VIP tour and pay for a move instead.

The tours were cancelled for that day, allegedly because the only tour guide called in sick.
We were not able to get the tour and I required to be reimbursed

Our guide with the beautiful accent was informative and attentive. I left with more knowledge than expected and the building is beautiful. I will not share photos and it is a wonder to be experienced in person.

The tour was a short quick overview of the Theater. If you are into movie history and will already be in the Hollywood area, then it might be worth checking out. If you aren’t already in the Hollywood area, I would skip this one!

I could get in they were showing a movie

The TCL Chinese Theatre is a beautiful gem, showing off the best of aesthetic design, from an earlier Hollywood age, as well as, the best of modern, movie-going technology. This tour was an excellent, behind-the-scenes look at a true historic and cinematic, icon. Our tour guide was friendly, informative and knowledgeable. Well worth an hour of your time.
