Junior: As a current Junior at the Academy of the Holy Names, I am proud to call this school my second home. I never feel endangered or pressured by my peers and administration, and since I am a high school swimmer, I tend to stay after school up until 7:00pm, all while being under safe supervision. While I have only been attending Academy of the Holy Names for only 3 years, I have been through collective and personal changes attending an all-girl school. One thing that has not been consistent is the uniform policy. Our uniform, as of now, is a navy blue skirt, baby blue dry-fit top with our emblem, and white socks paired with brown penny-loafers. While this uniform is considered traditional, many girls take advantage of the all-female factor causing administration to amend the uniform every year since I have attended. Senior: The education I have received at this school has been nothing short of exceptional. Jesuit is devoted to the formation of young men, and its teachers are dedicated to making sure all students attain the highest grades possible under its true college preparatory classes in a wide range of academic fields. From top notch and high ranking athletics, to the arts, music, and theatrics, and the wide array of clubs the school offers, there is something for everyone to excel at. The school offers an extremely safe environment of brotherhood and lifelong friendships, where bullying and aggressive behavior are not tolerated. Parent: My son's high school, Clearwater Central Catholic H.S. (aka CCC) is a very comfortable place for students and parents. The last Christian school my son went to was very snobby and catered to families with money and status. The staff at CCC has been very welcoming and helpful, as my son started there mid-way through high school, at the beginning of 11th grade. The teachers are so kind and understanding, and my son loves his classes. Also, the students are friendly and it feels like a family atmosphere. Alum: As an alumni, Tampa Catholic will always hold a special place in my heart. TC is known to have great academics, which I can testify too. They make sure to provide students with the best education. Furthermore, I love how they offer different types of courses for students to be ahead of the game once they get into college. TC offers many different AP and Dual Enrollment classes, which I personally benefited from. Going into college I was able to carry over 20 credits just by taking some D.E. classes at Tampa Catholic. Senior: My experience has been very good and positive. Yes there have been some problems with some facilities but that doesn't take away what I learned from Cristo Rey. In the beginning I was very new to this private school life, but the warmth I felt from the teachers and staff made it a lot easier to adjust and fit in. Senior: In terms of community, Santa Fe Catholic High School is a very close knit school. Having only four grades, none of which exceed 130 students each, makes the student community feel more like a family. Everyone knows everyone. In terms of academics, the school makes sure to provide multiple levels of challenges for subjects that can help students at differing levels of intelligence. For being a college preparatory school, the AP classes I have taken consist of course work that was overwhelming at first but proved to help me understand what’s to come. Now being able to handle the same work level, I feel more prepared for college than ever. When selecting classes, be aware you can change them. Some teachers did not fit my learning style so I struggled with their classes. Thankfully, I have the choice to change to a class and teacher that better suits my needs as a student.... Parent: Our three boys started during school year 2022-2023. They were 9th grade, 8th grade, and 6th grade. We have been part of public schools, parochial schools, and private schools. Of all the many schools we have experienced in California, Indiana, and North Carolina- enrolling in QAS is the BEST decision we have ever made as a family. Our boys either accelerated or significantly improved in all academic and faith areas- in just one year. We didn't need an IEP anymore, our kids can articulate fluently their reasoning and discuss vast topics impressively, and they can write and do math significantly better. Finally, they are being educated the right, best way - and they talk about topics without agenda or manipulations... they discuss topics in a truthful manner including history. Our family also became closer, and our Catholic faith has been moved in a deeper way as we see our boys become more serious about it.
