Tampa Catholic is a school that really loves money. If parents dont have time for service hours, they pay money. If you get a scholarship, they beg you for more money. Money, money, money.
The teachers were all amazing. I’ve had some of the nicest and most attentive teachers I’ve ever had, in my 4 years at Tampa Catholic. Some of the buildings are a bit older but all of them are in the process of remodeling, along with the new center for the arts that’s going to be built before the next school year starts. I feel it’s often overlooked as a school that prepares a high schooler for college, but it’s actually a very academically rigorous school, with very good athletics. I don’t think there’s any school in the Tampa Bay area that was a better fit for me.
I was a transfer after spending my freshman year at the public school that was closest to my house. I spent two weeks of my sophomore year at the public school and I knew it wasn’t the right fit for me. One day after school I finally broke down and told my Mom I wasn’t happy and the current school had extinguished the light in me. I guess it was the right thing to say to a parent because she immediately went to work to find options for me. We learned about Tampa Catholic from one of our family friends whose daughter was currently enrolled there and beyond happy with the school.
To say this school was a God send is a an understatement. The students and staff welcomed me in such a loving way; I am where I need to be.

Some teachers are pretty bad, but administrators won't fire them before the end of the year. This means you end up with a bad teacher fo an entire year of unproductive learning.
I loved the community at Tampa Catholic High School, and I made some of my best friends there. The academics are superb and the teachers push each student to do their best.
I love Tampa Catholic High school. During my time at TCHS, I have met so many friends, became super involved with our student body, been surrounded by diversity and a loving community, which is all really important to me. The school has an incredible atmosphere and is a great place to be during the weekdays. I get excited to go to school and see so many people who are just as positive about my school as I am.
Unfortunately as a student you do not get much administration support when you have something to say. When you try and bring up issues with administration much of the time you are brushed off. Certain students will get certain treatment about different things such as dress code. When you have an issue with a teacher and bring it up nothing gets done, some of the teachers have been brought up multiple times because of their teaching and nothing changes. However, some of the teachers are extremely educated and very well spoken, although some may have strong opposing opinions and may bring them into the classroom. I feel as though my experience of this school my freshman year was better than it has been these last 2.5 years.
Excellent teachers and many clubs and organizations to be involved in. Administration answers your questions and works with you on concerns.
There are many opportunities to be involved in various sports and clubs. Teachers are very supportive.
The teachers at Tampa Catholic actually teach and help their students understand the curriculums That was the first thing I noticed when I transferred there. The second thing I noticed was the sports. As an athlete I value the level of play within my school’s sports. Every sports team at Tampa Catholic has great coaches and are good. The soccer teams, cheer, basketball teams, track teams, volleyball teams, and football teams. These are the specific teams that I know play exceptionally well and have won states, regionals, and districts multiple times. The other sports I don’t keep up with but heard on announcements were: lacrosse girls team, softball and baseball. Next thing I noticed was the environment. It’s a nice campus where none of the classes are really far apart. I love the learning lab too. It creates a nice quiet study place for me and the act and sat tutor. They offer free tutoring everyday except Wednesday’s.The students are kind. I love it more than my old school for sure.
I enjoyed going to Tampa Catholic this year! I had a fun-time and although I was going through a rough time, they helped to make me as comfortable as you can in a school. It’s unfortunate I have to leave but I do recommend.
I appreciate the variety of classes provided to students and the large number of extracurriculars. The school also encourages the academic growth of each individual student.
Great teachers and education system, however it is obvious that administration sees students as walking profit and not children.
I truly enjoyed my time at Tampa Catholic High School. While the four years may have felt more rough at time then others, I truly found myself in the end. It helped guide me while keeping my academics well. I learned to balance school, work, friends, and family. It has taught me skills that I will use the rest of my life as well as ones that I can spread to help those around me as I go off to college.
Tampa Catholic was a very interesting and religious school to attend. It was a very great time and I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Very diverse place. Some teachers are excellent and always fair, although there are some that choose favorites, but overall great school
I loved Tampa Catholic, I was able to learn and express my religion with amazing academics. The school has prepared me for many real life experiences and I am successfully ready for college because of Tampa Catholic.
