‘Grey’s Anatomy’s T.R. Knight celebrates 10-year anniversary to husband Patrick Leahy

T.R. Knight has hit the 10-year mark.

The former “Grey’s Anatomy” actor recently took to Instagram to commemorate a major milestone he reached with his ballet dancer and writer husband Patrick Leahy.

“Ten years ago, @bridgeteverett @zshaffer1 and @jasoneagan made meeting this magnificent human possible,” Knight wrote in the caption alongside a picturesque photo of the couple.

“My goal for the next ten? Keep trying to deserve him,” he finished, adding that the actual photo was from one of his “favorite adventures” with Leahy, and the next day they found their golden pup Traveler.

The 47-year-old actor, who portrayed Dr. George O’Malley in the long-running ABC medical drama, had been married to Leahy since 2013.

His post drew close to 175, 000 likes with many of his followers standing in support of the union.

“Grey’s Anatomy” top star Ellen Pompeo wrote: “Love you guys” followed by a series of red heart emojis.

Actresses Lena Waithe, Bitsie Tulloch and Brigett Everett also left endearing comments on the post as well.

Some fans, however, used the opportunity to stick to business — acting business!

“Want you back on Grey’s so bad,” one wrote, while another added: “I can’t tell you how much I cried when his character died. I cried and cried for so long he was my favorite character. I miss him on Greys.”

One faithful fan echoed a similar sentiment: “His death was an injustice.”

For six seasons, Knight portrayed the doctor on the Shonda Rhimes-created drama.

Individually, he garnered a 2007 Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, while the entire cast won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Ensemble in a Drama series that year.

Most recently, the Minneapolis native was seen in the series “Will & Grace” and “God Friended Me” and is currently filming HBO Max’s forthcoming drama series “The Flight Attendant,” starring Kelly Cuoco, Merle Dandridge, Griffin Matthews and Rosie Perez.
