Dropped after reading 19 chapters. Ok. Don't get me wrong that this is an endearing story for readers who enjoy simple characters, common tropes, and standard story plot points. There's something to be said about making a good generic story-- but this wasn't it for me. The characters fell flat with little to no depth in their values, beliefs, & personalities. I debated on stopping it at 15 chapters, but wanted to push through to chapter 20 and make a decision, but it wasn't good enough for me to make it to chapter 20... The story is generic (like most historical/nobility/romance titles), but it's not in a good way. There're ways to take a generic set up and develop them into complex, thrilling stories, but it never does that. The beginning wasn't bad. It was actually enjoyable and gave me something to read. Nothing in this story really stuck to me in a positive way when I finished the 19th chapter. If this story gets better, then comment and let me know, but I have plenty of other titles that have better quality. It just doesn't stand up to my standards right now.

Only 6 chapters in and im a bit comfortable. [Spoilers] [This is very much a rant.] Don't get me wrong, this isn't terrible! However, the FL's intentions are what bother me. Her father is very cleary a trauma ridden man. I'm cutting her some slack since she hasn't lived past 12 but gosh, it really hurts. Basically, her father is a Paladin, as her father, if it is revealed he lost his chaisty, he will basically die. He gets his eyes and hands cut off (out), chaisty is a serious thing so im sure he would get shunned too and probabky killed, so yeah, death. Our FL is aware of this but doesn't care apparently, she wants to abandon her father because he did that to her. (Left her in the royals hands because he does trust them, i think, and was taught basically 'look dont touch' for his own wants, but unsurprisingly, they're abusive)  Anyways, she wants her father to fall for her cuteness and then leave, how she leaves? I have no idea, she's next in line for the throne, she'll still see him?? What really hurts is this man being sweet to her and showing worry and just her not getting it?? Thats your father hon, ofc he'll do that?? What really hit me her being like "he just doesn't understand this pain" when like a chapter ago we saw the Priest glaring at his ass and telling him that whole "look done touch" spiel. And then, he doesn't wanna be called "papa". He's full on trembling, fear in his eyes (im being a little dramatic but he cleary was not okay with this) and she's calling him a bastard (in a her head ofc). FUCK MAN, he doesn't wanna be called that for obvious reasons. ANDDD ANOTHER THING, she told us one of her deaths (being lynched) then complains a little that her dad wasn't there because, guess what, he was doing his job, in a far, far place (her words) so like, excuse him for doing his job? I just know he was heartbroken afterwords. She'd lived nine lives and hasn't communicated with this man since he came for her and only have brief glances, yet she acts like she knows him so well.  But, I disgress, she's regressed nine times and died nine times whilst not living past twelve so she is too be childish, i just know personally that I wouldn't do that at her age but i havent lived and died nine times.
