WBB: Eight Point Win Over Cobleskill Keeps Wildcats Perfect NAC Divisional Record Intact.

MARCY, N.Y. - The SUNY Poly women's basketball team improved to 4-0 in NAC West Divisional play on Saturday with a 58-50 win over the Cobleskill Fighting Tigers. The Wildcats took the lead on the first basket of the game and never gave it back. SUNY Poly improves their overall record to 11-6 with the win. Cobleskill is now 7-7. 

 

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES: 

  • Molly Burdick led all scorers with a 20 point, 15 rebound double-double in the game. She shot 62% from the field and went a perfect 4-4 from the free-throw line. Burdick now has recorded 12 double-doubles this season. 

  • Kierra Connor had a great all-around game for the Wildcats. She shot 66% from the field, scored 16 points, had seven rebounds, blocked two shots, and had two steals. 

  • Lauren Denny had nine points, four assists, and three steals for the Wildcats. 

  • TyLysa Martinez scored a team-high 11 points for the Fighting Tigers. She also had six rebounds. 

  • Kelsey Brown had 10 points, three steals, two assists, and three rebounds for Cobleskill. 

  • Hannah Carter had a team-high 10 rebounds for the Fighting Tigers. 

 

UP NEXT: 

The Wildcats will host NVU-Johnson in a NAC West-Division game on Friday, January 28th. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 PM tip-off at the Campus Center Gym.
