Nearby Resident: Chesterbrook is not the community it used to be. The Township allowed much denser development in a large section that was once a larger shopping center featuring a supermarket. This section is the opposite in zoning which featured abundant green space in each development. Cheap 3 story construction will look like hell in 20 years. Current Resident: I think that the public senior highschool quality is the most important factor for evaluating a community. There are four top senior highschools in Cinco Ranch/Katy, West suburb of Houston, Texas. There is no any other similar size city with population around 100, 000 would have more top public senior highschools than Katy. This is why I moved in this greatest living place from another good place, a college town, Davis, California where l had lived two decades. It is the safest place to live. I have never had any safety issue since l live here. I also noticed that some nightlife reviews with less Stars. I wanted to let people know that there are several dance schools in Katy. The schools not only teach Ballroom, Latin, Country and Line dance lessons, but also host dance parties. There is the nation largest bar, Whiskey River West with hosting hundreds even over ten hundreds at night. It offers free country, Latin & Line dance lessons before party. Current Resident: I have lived in Ardmore ever since I was a baby. My mom who is white was in the Peace Corps and was assigned to St. Lucia. While helping out and trying to make St. Lucia a better place she met my father and eventually moved back to the states together. They lived together for a few years in my mom's childhood home in Broomall, a non-diverse town about 15 minutes away. When she became pregnant with my brother they knew they needed to move somewhere where they felt accepted and safe - Ardmore was that place. My brother an I loved growing up in Ardmore and seeing people who looked like us. However, as we grew up and became more aware and intelligent, we realized and saw the racism that does take place, happening at school in particular. In fact, during the prime of the Black Lives Matter movement I became actively engaged in helping my school and the district as a whole become more diverse and to help minorities feel belonging. Current Resident: Okemos is a very diverse community, and is a great place to raise children who learn to respect diversity at a young age. There is a high percentage of professionals. Consequently, there is a high priority placed on education, and our schools are some of the best. People (who don’t live here) will say our taxes or too high, where in reality they closely match the smaller communities that surround Okemos. The nicer the home the higher the taxes, just like every community. You will find everything you need in this community, from housing , to medical, to education, to entertainment, to shopping, to a good transit system. Current Resident: Just moved here a few months ago and I am so impressed. Blue Ash is a diverse area with great schools and a real community feel. I love all the great services and activities for families. The rec center is nice and there are plenty of places to walk. There are some parts that could be improved (like downtown, and really, they could use a few more parks. Current Resident: I currently go to coppell high school, and have been living here for 4 years. The town seems to be centered around the high school students, and all of the activities going on here. They are many different restaurants to try, and the location is nice, right in between grapevine and Lewisville/carrollton, So everything is about a 15 minute drive from anywhere in the city, which is extremely convenient for trying something new outside of the city, and getting to places quickly. In the square, everything is just about walking distance, and the driving is pretty standard. Current Resident: I grew up in Chesterfield and have lived here for many years. There is not much to complain about, I feel that it's a pretty safe area to live in. I have never felt worried walking around alone after dark and I have never felt worried about my own safety. If there's one thing I'd like to see change, it's the affordability of housing in the area. There's a decent amount of upper- and middle-class people who live here, but you don't see many people from the lower class. Current Resident: We moved to Naperville with remote jobs that allowed us to live anywhere. Why? The schools and the community! People are genuine friends here and the park district offers so many activities. The teachers in D203 are professional and teach a “can’t do YET” positivity mindset. The downtown makes the city feel small and vibrant. Summer is the best season here with Centennial Beach, swim teams for the kids and outdoor concerts. In winter residents decorated their houses in creative themes with the goal of getting on the Believe Map. There is even a Christmas trolley that drives past the best homes. Naperville is not very economical diverse, but it is international! We are European immigrants and there are people of all nationalities and many language opportunities for kids. Current Resident: Love my neighborhood, Ballwin, MO is a wonderful place to raise a family. The property values are up which means we made an awesome investment. I don’t like that our home is considered part of unincorporated St. Louis County so we can’t take advantage of the Point Community Center for the Ballwin resident rate even though our city is Ballwin.
