Stephen Louis Maynard, 40, of Windsor Locks, formerly of Enfield, passed away at home on Monday, December 20, 2021. Born in Springfield, MA on April 1, 1981, he was the son of the late William and Kaylene (Kemp) Maynard and grew up in Enfield, graduating from Fermi High School. Stephen worked as a chef for the former Harley Hotel in Enfield for many years, working alongside his mother Kaylene. He loved music and enjoyed taking guitar lessons. Stephen had many accomplishments but his greatest was his son, Robert James "RJ". He loved and adored his son and every moment he had with him. His family and friends were everything to him. His friend and brother in heart, Kenny, became another bright light in his life. He enjoyed spending time with Kenny and his family and held those times lovingly in his heart. He had a great sense of humor and we will greatly miss our Stephen and his laughter and smile. Stephen spent his last years in the wonderful and loving care of his Oma as he had a long battle with MS.
Besides his parents, William and Kaylene, he was predeceased by his grandfather, Robert Maynard. Stephen is survived by his son, Robert James "RJ" Maynard; his grandmother, Anna Maynard of Windsor Locks; and his uncle, Robert Maynard of Enfield; and his cousins, William, Denise and Melissa Maynard. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Windsor Locks Funeral Home has care of arrangements. Please visit www.windsorlocksfuneralhome.com for online condolences.
