Were these cheat codes made after the game came out? I thought "Terrible, Terrible Damage" was from a caster. Did it become a meme during the beta, or what?
Even before the beta. During blizzcon 08 and 09 the lead designer used the phrase a lot while shoutcasting matches.

Nope. How the data was gathered wouldn't change the data. This is just confirmation from Blizzard that the data was correct.

Apparently a number of people were ignorant to the fact there were codes out for months, getting a lot of downvotes. Oh well, to be expected on this board.
No the news is that Blizzard announces the cheat codes, not that there are cheat codes.
It makes the list of cheat codes official and gives a definitive list.
I guess if people find that interesting... the list was already 100% complete though, people really underestimate cheat finders :P
