Stayed here recently for a weekend. First impressions of a very old building 70s-80s style not very welcoming. Seems the building is a mixed mode use with other companies, first 2 floors empty. 2nd floor has reception. Incredibly dark interior, turn lights on maybe? Check in person had no interest at all, simply demanded payment and then gave room key. No welcome, no hello, no directions to room or any additional info. Great first impression to be giving! Room was 4th floor, again very dark in corridor light switch never worked. At night pitch black trying to find key hole. Room very narrow and with a window half hanging off it's hinges? Tap was OK, useful for cleaning teeth without using the communal shared bathroom. Wifi was very intermittent and SLOW. Do not rely on it! Bed was awful. Literally a very thin sponge mattress with some old fashioned quilt and lounge sofa cushion for a pillow?! Very creaky bed and hard to sleep on, no softness at all. Shared shower OK. Shared toilet awful! Could barely sit on toilet without knees touching the wall! Very cramped. NOISE was BAD. First night had no issues, second night people in next door rooms having conversations yelling down the corridor. Told them to shut up at least twice, and then called reception also. No one interested, no one cared. Simply went out to avoid noise and slept later when they'd gone to sleep too. Location was very good! The ONE positive. Overall, be prepared for primitive conditions, 80s style building, lots of noise, poor staff who don't care. And worst of all, awful awful comfort bed.…
The hotel (don't know why it's classed as a "hotel"?!) is basic, exceptionally tired looking and the approach is abysmal (gives a terrible first impression). But if you are looking for somewhere cheap (absolutely no frills), with great location but don’t want to stay in a hostel, then this hotel would be suitable as you have your own room with washbasin, radio, towels and free wi-fi (but shared bathroom). The location is the best thing about this hotel … you are able to walk into the town centre (old quarter) in less than 10 minutes, walking past the Barbican, through St. Florian’s Gate where you arrive directly on Florianska Street. There’s plenty of little supermarkets & cafes located by the hotel too. The hotel provide breakfast at additional cost, which you have to book in advance (provided by an outside company). You have to walk through an office to get to the breakfast room. Receptionists were friendly and helpful. Check out is before 10am but they allowed me to leave my bag there for the day as my flight wasn’t until 9pm. They also booked a taxi for me (great!) – strangely they didn't know how much a taxi was from the hotel to the airport and quoted me 70 PLN (€16) but turned out it was only 35PLN (€8).…
We stayed 4days at Mistia. The hotel is basic but clean, is at 5-10min from the main bus station and the train station. We stayed in a room with shared bathroom but it was really ok. The hotel is not for people with high expectations but if you want a clean bed, a decent bathroom and a perfect (from my point of view)location this hotel is the one. The staff is friendly, ready to help you, they speak English. The wifi is not very good the signal is poor, but Krakow is wonderful and makes you forget such a little problem. All in all if I will come back I will choose the same hotel.
We have just returned from a 4 day Eastervisit in Krakow. Arrival We would like to recommend that you contact Mistia and use their Taxi service for 65 zloty. You will have a driver that awaits you outside customs with your name on a sign. The driver takes your bags and in minutes your are on your way to Krakow... more.. so nice city ...
Had a nice stay, the building seemed more like a school than a hotel but my room was bright , clean and comfortable and the shower was really good. The receptionists were helpful and even filled a flask so as I could have a hot drink in my room. Breakfast seemed to be brought in especially.
I needed a hotel in Krakow with 24-hour front desk, in a walking accessibility to center and railroad station. One definitely gets these benefits from this hotel. As well as clean bed, towels, hot water and free wi-fi. However, all the rest facilities are rather mediocre and make the hotel look like a student dormitory a little bit. Therefore, as for me it is acceptable for a one-night stay, but not for a vacation in Krakow.
