Cracow Old Town Guest House

Be aware that you check in at Hotel Electra just round the corner. It's literally just 2mins walk, and when I arrived there, they gave me clear guidelines where to go to my room. I'd arrived early and the hotel were happy to store my bags till check in. At first glance the front gate entry looks scruffy - but this is quite common in Poland - lovely venues hidden within a natural rough feel. The room was up a flight of stairs and when I opened the door, I realised the room was very spacious with a high ceiling. The kitchen area is at the bottom of the room with your beds. Not air conditioned, but a stand up fan is there to use which worked great. The bathroom was very clean. 3mins walk and you are at the Barbican - the start of the old town area. Good location.

This is a lovely old hotel with high ceilings and a sweeping staircase. Because the hotel is old the room furniture could do with updating but it was a lovely big room and bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. It was very clean and the tea coffee etc and water was replaced daily. Its a shame the bar was so small and dark so we did not use it at all. We had breakfast the first day but did not bother after that as the buffet was uninspiring and the hot breakfast fine is you wanted something egg based, Better to just book room and eat breakfast at one of the numerous little cafes nearby. The staff are very polite and helpful and the hotel is well placed near the old town, park and trams.

It is very close to the railway station and easy to get in and out. Hotel breakfast is also very good. The waiter at the front desk was rather indifferent and gave us a room with a separate bathroom and room. Didn't understand why it was designed in this way? Could it be that guests were asked to wear pajamas and go to the corridor to another bathroom. The older waiter at the front desk insisted on showing us this room and showing her the room type photos shown in Ctrip's booking record. Later, through Ctrip, we negotiated with the hotel in time before changing to another room. Other services of the hotel are very good.

Breakfast is average, the hotel is located in the center of the city, shopping and playing are very convenient, but it makes me uncomfortable. The platform says that there is free parking. I spent 50pld and stopped overnight.

When I first came to this hotel i was greeted by klaudia sapalska who was truly so loving and generous. I felt really at home in her country and as my stay went on I was overwhelmingly surprised by the consistency and quality of service that I received. I was truly spoilt by the many dishes served at breakfast and dinner. And saved alot of money by the amazing 10% discount offered to all guests. I also love the colourful and welcoming display that klaudia herself sets up and touches up as your going about your stay. It shows that she is a manager that cares and imposes the same quality upon her team. The rooms themselves for the price are the best in poland with big bathrooms and quality sheets. In closing I can truly recommend this amazing hotel to anyone with any sort of budget. Book it today and you wont be disappointed.
