Mdf is laser cut. Thus, the burn marks around the pieces. So yes, very normal!
Also why it probably smells like burnt hair 🙃
I dont see anything wrong with it, just usual mdf sprue.

Is that Micro Art Studio? If so, there is a layer of masking tape over the whole sheet that you need to peel off.

Sprues* I hope SS-Dirlewanger gets their hands on whoever created autocorrect.
Sprees? That is a laser cut sheet of wood. No sprues were involved. Sprue is a casting term.
