Spike's Breezeway Cocktail Hour

At the beginning of the Covid Quarantine, everyone was staying in and working from home. I found this to be the perfect opportunity to finally begin a project that I had in mind for some years; a cocktail show that is specifically targeted to classic tiki cocktails, made as precisely as possible and served in the historically appropriate glassware (when possible), with the backdrop of my home tiki bar. I never had any idea of how much time a show like this would take up! I equate it to my time playing music with The Hula Girls; we would always tell people that when they are hiring us, they are paying for our travel and for the lugging and setting up of the gear. Our performing is free. That seems so parallel to this show! I looove exploring the drinks and recording the episodes and I even enjoy the post production, but the time involved is absolutely insane. So many people have replaced TV with YouTube... Hell, I did that, myself. Most of us who are creating content online get paid little to nothing for the actual content itself. Our viewing and subscription numbers on SBCH are incredibly far from generating any kind of substantial pay. While people pay for cable, Netflix, Hulu, and all of the others, they often watch YouTube videos way more often. So, because so many people have suggested it, here's our Patreon account! I wouldn't be doing any of this if it wasn't for all of the super positive support from our SBCH community! I really do think the best part of this show has been meeting so many great drinking pals out there in YouTube-land. I appreciate you considering joining Spike's VIP Section in The Breezeway.
