The location of this restaurant is great, you can order and walk out on the small jetty for he sunset while waiting for your food. The food is ok, not worth the prices in my opinion. I got their signature scallop dish and was underwhelmed....My husband loves the fact that a lobster tail add on way only $12 for 9oz though. The staff was friendly and they respected our social distancing request to move the neighboring table a little further away.the restaurant is also open air as it’s on one of he small beaches in Key West.More

We stopped in for a late dinner and sat near the water. If the band wasn't playing at the resort we could have heard the waves lapping on the shore. The view is great and during the day the beach is pretty busy and yo...may have to wait. We ordered the conch chowder, spicy but tasty; Scallop ceviche, good but pricey for the size; jerk flatbread, tasty but pricey; fish fry, again tasty but pricey, and finished off with key lime pie. The service was spotty but when we had his attention it was very good. May have been short of staff?More

This place is pricey. But fun walking to going by the Southernmost House which is gorgeous and it has one of the rare actual beaches in the Keys. Beautiful veranda restaurant. Staff wasn't as friendly in Key West as up in the Middle Keys. We...both had Key Lime Daquari's and they were good but nothing spectacular. I had coconut shrimp appetizer. Pricey but tasty. My husband got nachos. $18! I really wish the waitress had mentioned that probably wasn't appropriate for one person. It was a ridiculous amount of food. Dont' order nachos unless you are sharing with 3 other people, at least. A few more questions by the waitress and a little more input about menu items would have made our experience much better. Go for the views and atmosphere, but do some research about the menu. It isn't cheap! This was our most expensive meal and it was just 2 appetizers.More

The location is one of the nicest on the Key West, but the food is not worth the prices. Key West fish fry includes 3 conch fritters, 2 coconut shrimp and a piece of fried fish with a platter of French fries at a cost...of $32. So in reality you are paying top dollar for average fried fish with an excellent view. No thanks.More

I am local and eat out almost everyday. Hungry and thirsty my besty and I ordered a Cheese burger, The server did not have any idea of what a pale blonde beer was. I went to the bar and had to inquire as he brought...me 2 samples of beer none were blonde pale ale. Ontop of the very small in size burgr was a wilted single piece of romain lettuce, yellow orange slice of tomatoe, and a sliver of red onion. Along side the tastless burger with oversized bun was a few macaronis also not impessive in taste. I use to eat at the Cafe 3-4 x a week several years ago. Whom ever is in charge of portion patrol, food taste and presentation needs to step up their game. STILL HUNGRY we immediately walked across the pavers to Seaside Cafe where we had a delicious mouth watering fulfilling Lobster PIzza. BTW we shared the burger as we are tiny girls and share one plate all the time as we did last week at Shanna Key with their ginormous bourban burger and fries also large in size. Totally satisfied as we were once again sharing a ginormous mouth watering spinache salad at the Conch Farm.More

My husband and I ate at the Southernmost Beach Cafe for our last night in Key West. The outdoor seating was wonderful, and my husband walked out on the pier to view the sunset (at 6:24 pm!). I had the house specialty, the Drunken Scallops,...which were excellent. I generally don’t eat mammals, so our server Diane brought me some sauce without bacon, as the sauce on the menu included. The scallops were huge, and the bacon-free sauce was excellent. My husband had the catch of the day (Copia) grilled, which he really enjoyed as well. My dish came with lobster mashed potatoes which were terrific as well as some young carrots. This was a wonderful end to our 5 days in Key West and we recommend this restaurant highly!More

To start, I ordered a daiquiri and unbeknownst to me the rum was poured right on top and not mixed in. I took a sip off the top and just about gagged cause it was straight rum. Our group ordered several appetizers which I felt...were very tiny. Some in our group loved their meal while a couple felt the dinners were so so. Given all the choices in KW I’m not sure I would ever return here.More

Our family brought our freshly caught yellowtail and snapper to the Southernmost Beach Cafe at the recommendation of the concierge, and had an amazing dinner. We had excellent table service and suggestions from our server Aza, and the chef Kevin did an outstanding job of...preparing the fish four different ways. One of the best fish dinners I’ve had, thanks to Aza and Kevin!More

We have stayed at Southernmost Beach Resort 8x but didnt realize until this visit we could get our catch prepared here. The chef came out to the table to discuss the options for our snapper. He prepared it 4 ways for us - grilled, blackened,...sesame encrusted and fried in a macadamia nut breading. Included were sides and sauces. The food was outstanding and the presentation was beautiful and creative. Plus we were able to watch the sunset from our table at the edge of the beach.More

We enjoyed our dinner at the Southernmost Cafe so much we went again on another evening during the week. The restaurant Is a lovely cafe on the beach and with open sides overlooking the water. The fish was basically fresh off the boat. If you...want fish, they let you choose a fish and then choose how you want them to cook it. . I had the Cobia and chose the lemon glaze. It was outstanding. Note, the Cobia is not caught locally but comes from a place that has some kind of netting in the ocean where they raise them. That sounds ridiculous, but the waiter explained it, said he’d been there to see it, and that it was amazing. My dinner was certainly delicious. I loved the lemon glaze taste with the Cobia. I had snapper when we went for a second time. I highly recommend Southernmost Beach Cafe. Be sure to make reservations if you can. I still think the Cobia was amazing. Don’t forget the Key Lime Pie for dessert.More

Horrible service and it’s not even busy. The mahi mahi sandwich was overdone and it tasted like cardboard. Over priced for the quality of food and the service we received. Nope, best to by pass this one.

We spend the day on the water with Wild Bill Sportfishing and brought our fresh catch over to the Cafe, where we heard they do something called the “Hook and Cook”. This dinner experience was one of the highlights of the trip! If you read...this and plan to go fishing in Key West...look no further and visit our friend, Chef Kevin. He stops by to discuss how you would like the meal prepared, other options you may be open to and the side choices he has to offer. He truly cares about the food he prepares the presentation and your feedback after you have had a chance to take part in the feast. To boot...he’s a great guy! We also had breakfast feast every morning which comes with your stay as a AAA member. Great value!More

I stayed at the Southernmost Beach Resort during the week of the outbreak/shutdown due to COVID-19. When restaurants and bars were forced to shut down at 5pm, we spent the last few hours at the Pineapple Bar. Gil was the bartender and he made our...last few hours at the bar so fun, personable and enjoyable amidst utter chaos and fear. Gil turned the night around for us and we appreciated his personality and hard work! He is a great staff member. Thanks Gil!More

We were told to bring our catch from our fishing excursion here and were not disappointed at all. We told the chefs to do what they wanted with our Tuna and Mahi and holy cow we weren’t disappointed in any way. They cooked our fish...in several different ways for appetizers and dinner and each way was outstanding. It’s in a great spot on the water, quiet but yet they were busy and steps from a stroll to southernmost point after dinner and then a nice walk down Duval Street.More
