We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Southernmost Beach Cafe on our first day in Key West. The food and scenery could not have been better. Our experience was so positive we also had a dinner there and an evening at the bar. When it came to find a restaurant to fix our freshly caught Cobia we knew it would be the Southernmost Cafe. The chief blew us away with the way the fish was prepared. Our only regret was not taking a photo of the presentation. It was breathtaking.

Great location, on a small beach by the water. Food is always good, staff very attentive. But here is what makes them a 5 star rated place. It started pouring the rain when we were leaving. they proceeded to give us rain ponchos. Yes, i know they probably cost them 1 dollar total, but they didnt need to do that. Something like that will keep us coming back every trip.

This has to be the best happy hour in key west. The rum runners are free poured and have quite a kick. Hard to have just one so caution if driving. The appetizers from the sliders to the wings or hibachi grill shrimp and steak are more than adequate for a meal. However, if you are still hungry, the cafe has an excellent selection on the menu. The prices are amazingly low - especially the happy hour . The bar is always crowded so be prepared to stand awhile before a seat opens up. Standing or sitting, this is a place not to be missed .

Food was outstanding, and service was excellent, with the exception of one hostess that I can't imagine will work there for long. The rest of the experience more than made up for it.

Every morning we would walk to the beac cafe and my daughter would get the chocolate chip pancakes. Sometimes the wait was long but very relaxing.
