One year after the Champlain Towers South collapsed on June 24, 2021, we remember the 98 people who lost their lives.Thirty-five victims were pulled from the structure and two were pulled from the rubble that same day, including a teenager. One other person who survived was pulled from the rubble.The first victim, Stacie Dawn Fang, was identified June 25, with additional people continuing to be identified.The victims ranged in age from 1 to 92.Champlain Towers South was demolished at about 10:30 p.m. on July 4. The rescue efforts shifted to recovery on July 8, two weeks after the initial collapse.
