South Carolina has clinched the top seed in the SEC tournament, which means the Gamecocks now know their potential schedule.
The top seed is the only one of the 14 seeds that has been decided. If South Carolina loses out and LSU wins out, they would both have 13-3 league records, but South Carolina owns the tiebreaker thanks to the Gamecocks’ head-to-head win.

South Carolina’s first game will be on Friday, March 8 at noon. The Gamecocks will play the winner of Thursday’s 8/9 matchup. The game will be televised on the SEC Network.
If South Carolina wins, the Gamecocks will play at 4:30 pm on Saturday, March 9. South Carolina has met Ole Miss in this semifinal game each of the past two seasons. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
The championship game is on Sunday, March 10 at 3:00 pm. It will be televised on ESPN. South Carolin has appeared in the past four championship games, winning three times. Overall, South Carolina has seven tournament titles and has appeared in eight of the last nine title games.
Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Grenville is hosting the SEC tournament this season. “The Well” has hosted five of the past seven tournaments and will host again in 2025. As the Bi-Lo Center, the arena also hosted the 2005 tournament.
Under Dawn Staley, South Carolina is 12-1 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena. The only loss came in the 2019 SEC quarterfinals, 95-89 to Arkansas.
South Carolina can clinch sole possession of the SEC title with one more win. The Gamecocks play at Kentucky on Sunday.
