Mortimer, the harmony soft rock trio from New York State, were signed with Apple Records in 1968 on the strength of George Harrison’s say so. The second LP of their career was due for release in the summer of 1969 but was pulled at the last minute due to changes at Apple. The tapes have sat in the vaults ever since. Now RPM is pleased to present for the first time the LP that should have been the release straight after The Iveys LP in the Apple Records catalogue. Mastered from the original tapes, the recordings were originally produced by Peter Asher with additional arrangements by Richard Hewson. Bearing a photo taken by Peter Asher, this is from a previously unseen cache of photos stored by Apple. The LP title track is the song given to Mortimer by Paul McCartney which The Beatles later recorded as ‘Two Of Us.’ RPM LP

Fredfades is a Norwegian producer specialising in the uncut RAW hip hop. Here’s the instrumentals to his debut solo album, “Warmth”. His given name is Frederik Overlie, born and raised in Oslo, Norway. He’s been collecting vinyl from the age of 14 and collects all kinds of music from, jazz, modern soul, boogie, mid 60's psych to late-eighties electronic dance music. He is part of the Mutual Intentions crew, a group of friends inspired by their passion of music and art. In 2013 he dropped a classic with Ivan Ave called "Breathe" on KingUnderground. "Warmth" is his first solo album following a long line of singles, collaborative albums, cassettes and load of independently released projects. A seminal piece in Reich’s output, ‘Sextet’ employs his universally recognisable soundworld and its sequence of harmonies gradually overlap and interweave. Reich says of the piece: "The ambiguity here is between which is melody and which is accompaniment. No Depression at the time enthused about a live show where 50 people were in touching distance of greatness. It was the perfect platform they believed, trying hard to still keep Victoria their own personal secret. Around was the first song from Same Language Different Worlds that everybody heard. Tim Burgess had sent a home made CD-R to Lauren Laverne as soon as the record was completed and she texted asking if a song could be featured on the 6Music show that morning. Peter Gordon and Tim had spent the precious few months crafting the album in New York, Norfolk & Manchester - Tim sent the song to Pete Kember and proclaimed the resultant remix as "one of the best tracks I've ever had the pleasure of being involved with." If we have stock left it will be available online from Saturday 29th April, strictly one per customer. 10" picture disc The Small Faces’ most famous song was actually recorded during the Summer Of Love at the legendary Olympic Studios in London during July 1967 and released on Andrew Loog Oldham’s independent Immediate record label in August. Produced by Steve Marriott and Ronnie Lane, the song was engineered by Glyn Johns with George Chkiantz and featured the latter’s revolutionary phasing effect which was heard for the first time anywhere on the single. A top 3 hit in the UK and released worldwide, it was also the Small Faces’ only top 20 hit in the USA. Supervised by surviving Small Faces member Kenney Jones, the limited edition picture disc features the re-mastered original mono mix plus the 1967 stereo remix by Eddie Kramer with a longer end-fade and additional vocals by Steve. The new single features outtakes from Gered Mankowitz’s original photo session to promote ‘Itchycoo Park’ while the colour insert reproduces the Olympic Studios master tape box. “The Small Faces were my favourite band of all time.... Small Faces In Session At The BBC 1965-66 [RSD] This is an exclusive release for Record Store Day 2017. The Small Faces incredible live studio session performances have been lovingly transferred from newly discovered BBC transcription discs and reveal a fuller, more dynamic sound than ever heard before. Featuring Steve Marriott's wonderful and insightful interview with Brian Matthew, only recently found in America. Also including a reel-to-reel tape that a young fan had used to record one of his favourite bands as they performed on the radio. It’s rough and ready and certainly not what you would expect to find on audiophile quality vinyl but it’s the only tape recording in existence of the Small Faces’ session for the Joe Loss Pop Show. These recordings and Steve’s interview were issued for the first time in 2015 as part of ‘The Decca Years’ 5CD box set and are now making their vinyl debut. UMC LP

diana ross Diana [RSD] This is an exclusive release for Record Store Day 2017. More in stock on Tuesday. Released in 1980, the Diana album was Diana Ross' biggest selling album. It spawned the hit singles 'Upside Down', 'I'm Coming Out' and 'My Old Piano'. However, on delivery to Motown the original tapes were deemed too 'far out' by Ross and her usual engineering team, and a remix was given to make the record more commercial. For years, the original mix became something of a holy grail for both Diana Ross and CHIC fans. The mix was finally released as part of a CD deluxe edition in 2003, and now, for the first time, it's getting released it on vinyl. Pink vinyl UMC LP

Exclusively available for Record Store Day 2017, the single has been remastered by Matt Colton at Alchemy Studios and pressed on 180-gram white vinyl for an incredible sound! The band’s name is taken from a local ‘Love Hotel’ and they describe themselves as: “Japanese girls ‘knock out or pound cake’ band”. “Their hardcore punk sound was tempered by their presence onstage, which was at turns coy, flirtatious and completely badass…their energy was so infectious, it crossed all language barriers.” Damnably 7"

Riven seen on vinyl for the very first time and is considered by many as one of Nick most accomplished works. Originally released on CD back in 2013, Nick had had the pleasurable experience of recording stints with such highly acclaimed musicians as Lana Del Rey, Newton Faulkner and Steven Wilson, this brought about the Riven recordings. This album documents Nico’s last ever performance held on June 6, 1988 in West Berlin as part of the European Capital of Culture festival that year. Except for the album's closing song (which was previously released on The End...), Nico and her backing band ‘The Faction’ composed all the pieces specifically for the show. As the title of the album indicates, the concert was Nico's last, and the material on the album is among the last she (co-)wrote. Six weeks later, on July 18, she died while on vacation in Ibiza.
