Blade & Soul’s combat was fun and unique since its launch back in 2012, and it manages to keep both traits in 2019! Every class has a unique playstyle, making it impossible to not fall in love with at least one of them ?, and offering great replayability, to an otherwise.. content-less MMORPG.

There is no gender-lock here fortunately, but there is a “race-lock”, meaning not all races can become all classes. I wouldn’t say it’s restricting at all though, mainly because the 3 races look too much alike (Jin, Gon, Yun), and Lyn, the.. child race makes for some more variety, offering 2 unique classes of their own as well, for all you loli lovers out there ?!

Before you decide your main class, make sure to check out all the BnS races too, and the relevant restrictions on the table below:

Jin Gon Lyn Yun
Assassin
Astromancer
Blade Dancer
Blade Master
Destroyer
Force Master
Gunslinger
Kung Fu Master
Soul Fighter
Summoner
Warden
Warlock
Zen Archer

You didn’t put anything for the Astromancer (unless my webpage is glitched)

Sorry, only in-game information has been put for Astromancer for now, as I didn’t have the chance to play with the class! Hope I can put the rest soon!

  2. A Person says:

Greetings. I’m considering beginning Blade and Soul, and so I appreciate this guide and summary of classes you’ve put out. I’ve learned valuable information from it, but I would like to offer one criticism – You need to update your attack stat scores. To quote Syndrome from The Incredibles, “When everyone’s super, no one will be.” Every single class having a four-star rating means that absolutely no valuable information is gained. If the game is balanced so that all classes deal around the same damage, then say so and remove the attack stat. Even then, I doubt that they all have exactly the same damage. There will be certain classes with low, medium, and high damage outputs. You could replace the stars and simply use those three metrics. At the very least, then it would mean something more significant.
Not to say that the rest of this isn’t valuable, of course, but I highly recommend changing the attack ratings.

Thanks for the feedback… A Person!

To be honest, the main reason for creating this short guide, was my indecision on which class to play in BnS! xD

I don’t have end-game insight on each of the classes’ powers and specific mechanics sadly, that’s why the information for each class is basic, only meant to help beginners make an easier choice.

Also, as mentioned in the article, all the “star” values are directly taken from in-game (the official BnS site has different values than in-game, so I trust in-game data more than anything for any guide I make).

So yes, I agree that they could make this star system a bit more balanced!

Thanks again for your comment mate, I appreciate your kind words!

  3. Craig Wallace says:

I’m looking to get back unto BnS since it’s release and this is really useful!
