Just some random interesting facts about India that you might not know.

 

1. Indian Railways has total 1.4 million employees which is equivalent to the entire population of many countries such as Trinidad and Tobago, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Estonia, Mauritius, Bahrain,Luxembourg,Monaco, Cyprus, Vatican City and more.

2. India’s first rocket was brought on cycle and satellite on bullock cart

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has developed first rocket with other research organization. They used cycle to transport their Rocket (So Humble!). 

3. Magnificent Taj Mahal of Agra is taller than Qutub Minar of Delhi. 

Which is taller-tajmahal or Qutub Minar

The Taj Mahal is 243.5ft (73 meters) while the Qutab Minar is only 239ft (72.5 meters) The Taj Mahal is so proportionately constructed that one can never imagine that it is taller than the Qutab Minar, the tallest minaret in the world. Its really an interesting fact about India that all should be knowing

 4. Lonar Lake, a saltwater lake in Maharashtra, was created by a meteor hitting the Earth and is one of its kind in India.Lonear Lake

5. Non residents (NRIs) aren’t allowed to take Indian currency out of the country. As per RBI’s rule passed in 2013; before they move out of the country, they must exchange the rupees for other currencies.
