Everybody hates ion Simply Red. My streaming service seems to hide Simply Red, so that I forget regularly, that they have ever existed. But when I hear them by chance, I'm suddenly in the 1990s.
If your kids like to be edgy, tell them to wear Simply Red shirts instead of the mainstream Nirvana stuff.

Now if you would have compared Simply Red and Rick Ashley then I would have understood because it's similar type music and they both don't sound like they look but comparing Simply Red to Nirvana, is like comparing apples to oranges.
First of all...keep Rick Astley out of your mouth. I had "Fairground" in mind and was well aware that Nirvana and Simply Red are like apples and oranges. But you can actually compare them.

Simply red is head and shoulders over Nirvana. I've never understood the hype for that band.
I like Nirvana myself. It's the first time that there is a public revival of my youth and I have to insist, that it's rightly done. Simply Red should be a part of it.
I know literally nobody who hates on simply red. I dont know several people who absolutely love some songs. Its also regularly played in supermarkets.
I dont know why you compare it nirvana. Like, youre actively contributing to the overuse of nirvana as if it is the most important metric in the music industry.
That was somehow my point. I might have been overreaching with my "unpopular opinion". I stumbled over Simply Red and I remembered how they were labeled as mainstream back in the day. Of course noone is complaining about them being played in the supermarket. According to Wikipedia they won the Brit Award in 1992 and 1993 and somehow they are compared with Rick Astley.
Why would they not be compared to Rick astley while you do compare them to nirvana? There is a whole lot more overlap
