I was thinking we’d get a great meal here and it would be a happening place. Maybe it’s the construction/renovations or something else but there weren’t many people eating on the streets and it didn’t look at all compelling.

i can see that during the day it would be pretty lively, lots of smalls shops, pubs, bistros, but on a saturday night in june, it wasn’t that busy. it rained really hard, so may have been the weather. more chill than the area around the train station, that’s for sure. quite a few pubs. more a locals’ hang out.

I checked this street out based on other reviews. They must've been on a different street cause it wasn't worth the walk there. The only thing I found interesting was a painting on a building.

We had jumped the Ubahn down to stop Bornheim Mitte to sample the great atmosphere this very long street has to offer.
Berger Straße is a great street lined with all manner of family run shopping outlets and is famous for its innumerable pubs,bars and restaurants,there's also some great architecture along this street which makes it such a cool place to visit.
My twin brother Stephen and I were on this street to visit some of the great pubs ,bars and restaurants,we went to The Irish Pub ,Bernemer Schnappche,Der Buchwald,Weisse Lilie,Bernemer Treff,Zum Alten Schagbaum and quite a few others,we made a real day of it on this street and had a fantastic time,prices here are less than you would pay in the more touristic places of Franfurt such as Sachenhausen or Römerberg and the atmosphere here is vibrant,it has a much more laid back vibe not just on the street but the area in gerenal.
A great street and well worth checking out.
