About Us
Sheeley’s Drug Store was opened by Joseph Sheeley in 1903, and later purchased by Dan Iannielli in 1972. In 2011, Danny’s daughter, Lori Hart, took over daily operations of Sheeley’s, and has been running the business ever since. Sheeley’s has been family-owned and operated since the very beginning, and although times may have changed, our focus has not. Our drug store spans six generations of pharmacists, all which have one goal in common: helping you, our customers.
Our customers have made Sheeley’s what it is today, and they’re what keeps us going every day. We pride ourselves in the personal service we provide our customers, right in the heart of downtown Scranton.
In addition to your everyday medications and over-the-counter products, we also carry nebulizers, offer free blood pressure screenings instore and specialize in compounding, pill boxing and vaccinations, with a FREE delivery service to Scranton, Dunmore and surrounding areas.

Compounding
We are proud to be one of the few locally-owned pharmacies in the area that can offer our customers compounded medications. Our compounded medications are personalized medications that we create in-house for our customers, based on a physician’s prescription, to treat specific needs, such as:
- Cosmetic (beauty, anti-aging, etc.)
- Dermatological (creams, ointments, etc.)
- Hormone Replacement
- Liquid Preparations for children
- Pain Medication
- Veterinary
VACCINATIONS
Our pharmacists are licensed to give a variety of vaccinations to our customers, with no prescription needed:
- Prevnar 13 (Pneumonia vaccine for Adults)
- Prevnar 23 (Pneumonia vaccine for Adults)
- SHINGRIX (Shingles vaccine)
- TDaP (Whooping Cough vaccine)
- Influenza vaccine (Flu shot) – seasonal
- Menactra (Meningitis vaccine)

Pill Boxing
Take advantage of our weekly pill boxing services, and let us refill and deliver your medications packaged for you, or a loved one, on a weekly basis. This is a great resource for senior citizens, or for those who take many medications on a daily basis.
