Days of our Lives (DOOL) stars Arianne Zucker (who plays Nicole Walker) and Shawn Christian (who portrayed Daniel Jonas) are engaged!
“So, words can’t describe how happy I was this day,” Zucker exclaimed, in reference to June 20th. “[Christian] completely surprised me on Father’s Day! I had no idea!”
In a video originally posted to Christian’s Instagram but later shared on Zucker’s as well, screenshots of the proposal appear with a caption written overtop, saying “Guess what… she said yes!!”

The two former co-stars can be seen on a boat in Lake Tahoe, with Zucker’s new fiancé on bended knee with a ring. As the video fades, a placard reads “Shawn and Ari… A new Adventure Begins”.
“I love surprises… and this surprise proposal on our boat cruise was a magical blessing,” Christian said. “She said YES!!”
“I’m so blessed to begin another chapter with this wonderful woman who brings out the best in me as a person, parent and partner,” he added. “Looking forward to the many soul inspiring adventures ahead!”
It’s obvious that Zucker is equally smitten with her future husband.
“This man has an unbelievably beautiful heart and he always seems to know how to make me feel so wonderful,” Zucker gushed. “I am blessed to join him on this next adventure.”
In closing, Zucker thanked some friends for helping to facilitate “this day of love and happiness”.
This will be the second marriage for both Zucker and Christian. Zucker was previously married to former co-star Kyle Lowder.
In August 2020, Christian confirmed that the two had been dating for several years. Although their relationship started out in friendship, they’ve since become an adventurous couple with a blended family.
