Where can I find Italian Sesame Street?

Hey folks,

I'm at the point in my Italian journey where I can watch Italian media and pick up a word here or there. I can usually get the gist of whats going on, but I'm certainly missing a ton.

I'm also a bit of a child and I love sesame street still....so I figure watching Italian sesame street would be a good start. Simple, slow(er), and aimed at bringing kids' language abilities up....

So does anyone know where I can find (legally or illegally, but legal preferred), Italian sesame street in large quantities?

Alternatively if there's any other good Italian kids shows, I'm certainly open to suggestions. :)

Thanks in advance.

I don't have any suggestions, but I'll be watching this thread to see what other people say.

You can look on YouTube for Sesamo Apriti or Il mondo di Elmo.

A nice tv show for children was L'albero azzurro, of which you can also find something on YouTube.

I don't recall any Sesame Street ever been broadcasted on Italian tv, bit I could be simply he in the wrong age group. "L'albero azzurro" was good but it was for really.young children.. as it was "La Pimpa". Not that iconic or fun, but to learn some kids jokes you can search for some "bim bum bam" show episodes.

Well, there's the muppets http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Y3DlxHFNC4&list=PL0E016221C397D9FB&index=1

For the most part we grew up with japanese cartoons, most of which completely unsuited for children because the italian broadcaster didn't understand the difference between cartoons for children and cartoons for adult audience. But who where we to complain? ;)

I guess Lupin III was one of the best, or the worst, depends from the point of view. You can find plenty of that with torrent, just add ita to the string search.

Check out what's on Rai YoYo. Peppa Pig is awesome but they don't offer replays outside of Italy, so you'll need to use a VPN or a browser plug-in to access those.
