A24 has released Beauty of the Beast, a “transformation manual” by special effects makeup artist Emily Schubert (Super Dark Times, Good Time). Priced at $44, the 8x11 book features an embossed gloss-laminated softcover.

It contains 180 pages of step-by-step instructions recreating for key looks, including alive, dead, young, old, bald, hairy, bony, and bloody; along with a primer on essential skills like creating a scar, removing tattoos, faking swat, covering pimples, applying a bald cap, applying a prosthetic; and more.

Taxi Driver will be released on Steelbook 4K UHD (with Blu-ray and Digital) on June 25 via Sony. The influential 1976 neo-noir psychological thriller is directed by Martin Scorsese.

Robert De Niro stars with Jodie Foster, Albert Brooks, Harvey Keitel, Leonard Harris, Peter Boyle, and Cybill Shepherd. Paul Schrader (Raging Bull) wrote the script.

Chopping Mall is getting a novelization on November 19 via Encyclopocalypse Publications in association with Scream Factory. It will be published in paperback, mass market paperback, and e-book.

The 138-page adaptation is written by Brian G. Berry (The Barn: The Novelization), based on the screenplay for the 1986 cult classic by Jim Wynorski and Steve Mitchell.

House on Haunted Hill’s soundtrack is available on vinyl for $40 via Waxwork Records. Sourced from the original film elements, the score is composed by Von Dexter (13 Ghosts, The Tingler) and includes select dialogue and sound effects from the film.

The album is pressed on 150-gram pink & black colored vinyl. It’s housed in a gatefold jacket with matte satin coating featuring art by Graham Humphreys and a four-page booklet featuring an interview with Victoria Price by Rob Zombie. It will ship in May.

Carnival of Souls is the latest title in under the Rob Zombie Presents banner, following White Zombie, Spider Baby, and Carnival of Souls.
