Fergie's granny makeover! Sarah Ferguson looks VERY youthful after birth of first grandchild - so, has she turned to tweakments such as micro-needling and an eye lift?

She may have just become a grandmother for the first time, but Sarah Ferguson is displaying a noticeably more youthful complexion than she was last summer.

The Duchess of York, 61, has previously admitted to having a few tweakments to help hold back the clock - revealing she'd undergone laser treatment on her face before daughter Princess Eugenie's wedding to Jack Brooksbank in 2018.

And in the run-up to Eugenie welcoming a baby boy, Sarah looked visibly more radiant, especially during her installments of Storytime with Fergie and Friends on her YouTube channel.

Not only did her skin look smoother, her flaming red locks also appear to have taken on a darker, glossier hue compared to last year.

So, is her new look down to deftly applied make-up - or has Fergie undergone a cosmetic procedure or two? FEMAIL asked the experts...

EYES

'Sarah Ferguson's do eyes look noticeably wider and more open, with less heavy skin on the upper lids,' explains cosmetic surgeon Dr Paul Banwell (www.paulebanwell.com). 

'It's possible that this is the result of an upper blepharoplasty. This is a type of surgery that repairs droopy eyelids and may involve removing excess skin, muscle and fat.

'Blepharoplasty, which costs around £5,000, can reduce or eliminate vision problems and make your eyes appear younger and more alert. 

'The benefit of blepharoplasty is that we can achieve a beautiful and very natural look. This isn't facelift surgery - you won't come out looking like an entirely different version of yourself - but you will look a lot brighter, less tired and refreshed.'

Nina Prisk, a cosmetic nurse and expert in injectables at Update Aesthetics (update-aesthetics.co.uk) also pointed out the dark circles under Fergie's eyes look significantly reduced. 

'Sarah's eye-bags do appear less visible,' she explained. 'Eyelid skin is unique to the rest of the body because there is no subcutaneous fat underneath the skin. 

'The eyelid layers are skin, orbicularis muscle, septum, fat (eyebags). Whereas in the rest of the face there is a subcutaneous layer of fat directly underneath the skin.  

'Anti-wrinkle injections around the eye area can significantly reduce wrinkles and eye bags, so it's likely that Sarah has had this done to help to create the freshness in this area.'

FOREHEAD

'Sarah Ferguson's forehead does look noticeably smoother and less furrowed,' Dr Banwell observed.

'Traditionally, a brow lift, or forehead lift, is an operation to smooth the area from your eyebrows to your hairline. By repositioning soft tissue and skin of the brow and forehead, a brow lift can freshen the appearance of the forehead, the brow and the area around the eyes.'

'It also elevates the height of your eyebrows with Botox injections,' she added. 'These injections work by relaxing the muscles under the skin to leave your skin looking smoother. 

'By relaxing the muscles between the brows and the forehead, muscles can pull up the newly relaxed muscles to elevate brows and give the eyes a more open appearance. 

'Treatments take minutes and you'll begin to see results within a week. With little to no recovery time you can go back to work immediately and will need to be topped up every few months.' 

LIPS

'As we age the collagen in our body decreases so it's natural for them to lose volume and show more wrinkles and lines in that area,' Nina said.

'Whilst a nourishing lip treatment can help to hydrate and minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in that areax, it's possible that Sarah's lips have had a small amount of dermal lip filler to very naturally plump them, smooth the lines and replace the volume that she would have lost as a result of the natural ageing process. 

'This has left her with a very natural look. When we age too we often experience smoker's lines, regardless of whether we've smoked. 

'A small amount of dermal filler in this area can help to combat these lines. I also think she may have had filler in the mid face to life and re-volumise where volume has been lost with age. 

'This tightens, plumps, gives structure, and fills hallow the the eyes somewhat.'

CHEEKS

Dr Judy Todd, who runs the Synergy Clinic in Glasgow, said: 'It appears that Sarah may have used a micro-needling and radio frequency procedure to tighten up the skin and to reduce lines and wrinkles. 

'Improvements in technology in recent years have given much better results for these treatments and one of the best systems on the market is Morpheous8. It's just a one hour treatment with little or no downtime and it will have amazing results in just a few weeks. 

'The procedure triggers the skin to repair itself and massively boosts collagen and elastin production, and so it rejuvenates the skin with a very natural look.' 

HAIR

Shona Bain, a signature colourist for Gielly Green, said Sarah's grey-free hair appears a lot richer and smoother with a visible gloss, and put this down to two elements.

'One is the colour - it's now deeper, slightly darker and much richer in tone, making the hair look more healthy and youthful,' she said.

'Secondly, I think she has had a Keratin blow dry. This is a treatment that adds the Keratin back into the hair. It is blow dried in and sealed after. It smooths out frizz and gives a glossy seal to the hair and lasts for months.'

Paul Bryan, salon owner and founder of haircare brand A Stylist's Secret, added: 'Sarah's hair is naturally prone to frizz, so left to dry naturally like in some of the pictures it will look dry and unruly.  

'It looks like her hair has been coloured more recently which will help with the depth and shine once it's been blow dried. A good blow dry on this hair type can make a huge difference.'  

Ricky Walters, director of SALON64, agreed the Duchess looked like she'd had a helping hand from a Keratin treatment, adding: 'She has likely found it time to invest in some at home products and treatments for her hair to keep up its healthy glow such as conditioning masks and serums, as well as using a hot tool such as a curling iron to style for special Zoom call occasions.' 

JAWLINE 

'Sarah's jawline is significantly stronger than in previous images so I wouldn't be surprised if she said that she'd had some sort of cosmetic intervention by way of a thread lift or APTOS lift,' Dr Banwell said.

'An APTOS lift is a cosmetic procedure that is used to lift and sculpt different features on the face and body and we can very quickly transform the jawline area, lift the brow, change the shape of the nose and even perform a non-surgical breast lift without a patient having to go under the knife.'

Nina said the look could alternatively have been achieved by using fillers. 

'Fillers can be carefully placed along the jawline to reshape the face, give the illusion of a stronger jawline and help to tighten the lower face,' she added. 

'The smooth skin around Sarah's jawline is natural looking but still improved. This could have been achieved by having Profhilo injected into the area to even out wrinkles and remove the rings around the neck which many people suffer from as they age.
